Nicole; check the alternator belt, loose, worn, is it still there and on.
If battery is new and connections are good, and belt is good, probably a bad alternator. Alternator cost $125 to $200, labor $60-$120

Alternator problems

If you have a volt gauge in the car it should read to 14 when running. If it is a light it will be glowing slightly. If you start the car and disconnect the battery the car should stay running. If it dies then it is a bad alternator.

Why does my car not have any power after i boost it and drive it?

Bad battery and/or alternator. Once it is running, test voltage coming from alternator with a multimeter. Should be over 13 volts. If not, alternator may be bad. If alternator is sending over 13 volts, battery may be bad. Possible bad connection between alternator and battery, but not as common.

I have 1995 Lexus SC300. When you try to turn on the headlights while the engine is running, the engine will die. Also when you try to start the car and the headlight switch is in "ON" position...

In reading your question, it sounds like you have tale tale signs of a bad battery, or an alternator that has gone bad. If you can get the car to just about any auto parts store, then they can test both the battery and the alternator. There is a fuse that controls the alternator as well and I would recommend checking that prior to buying an alternator. If the battery is bad, then you will have to replace it.

My car is not running.the battery sign signal is showing up on the dashboard ..I'm wondering if the problem is the battery or the alternator

usually the alternator. Was the light on when the engine was running? If you jump start the car, does it die as soon as you take the cables off? These are signs of a bad alternator. If you have more questions or need instructions, please let me know.

My car wont start, dash lights been dimming last few days. it clicks but wont turn over. the alternator was replaced about 10 months ago.

It sounds like the alternator may have been a used one and possibly had a short life. The dimming of the lights is usually a sign of a bad alternator. Nevertheless, check the battery, but I think it may be the alternator. It still could be under warrantee.

Gas gage dont work, gas warning lite stay on, spedometer gage all the way 160, rpm gage also all the way, battery lite stay on, abs lite on, srs on, when the car is on or running. 1996 MB s420

That may be a sign of a bad alternator. start you car and take the positive batter cable off the battery. If the car dies replace the alternator. That is a really good sign that your alternator is bad.
