Question about 2003 Honda Odyssey
Has anyone had this problem? I am on my third battery in a month. Every morning the van is completely dead. Nothing is left on and the battery cables are secure. I have also had the alternator checked and it came out ok. Any suggestions??
Drains are a direct short, either within the battery whereby the cells fail to maintain continuity, or there is a connection short outside of the battery, Check the ground connection and look also for corrosion at the terminals. Trace the wires for any possible insulation damage. Even a small pin hole can short a line, so test with your meters and observation.

SOURCE: Total black Out...
Try to loosen the battery terminals and spin a little bit to clean them, Did you see a spark when you did that? if not go to a shop with the battery and have it checked for voltage. The car should be fine just make sure the terminals are clean and tight sounds like the battery is bad.

if you can charge the battery and drive it for a while then sounds like the altenator has failed and is not re-charging the battery, good way to test is to charge the battery, start the car and turn the light on, if everything is dimm or the motor dies there is little to no charge voltage, and will require altenator work
