SOURCE: TRUCK WONT START HAVE GOOD

This can be 3 different things. The ignition switch, the starter solenoid, or the starter. Usually when it is the starter, you will hear a click when you turn the key to start. And the ignition switch doesn't go out near as much as the solenoid. You can take the solenoid off and have it checked at most auto parts shops. I guess it could be the security system also. But you would have signs telling you that it was the security.

Would a dead battery stop your key from turning on in a 2003 gmc envoy

Sounds like a flat battery. Just enough to power your lights but not enough to power the starter motor. Try recharging the battery.and check battery connections are good.

Won't start like dead batter, however had checked by AAA, battery good, alternator good, start rebuilt two weeks ago, today it wouldn't start for the wife, she turned off windshield wipers and it started,...

Really sounds like a battery connection. Try this, turn the headlights on, then try to start it,if they get dim,its a low battery,if they go OUT it's just a poor connection, most times it's just battery cables.

No power and batt is good

My first guess would be a dead cell inside the battery, or a blown fuseable link between the battery and the fuse box.
Someone would need to check the battery connections and fuse box with a meter.

Clicks but will not start

sound like dead battery.have vechicle jump start if vechicle cranks problem could be weak battery and corroded battery cables and battery terminals or post.if battery dead have it recharged load tested if battery over 4 or 5 years old battery need replacing make sure have alternator out put test.could be reason battery goes dead either battery very old or alternator not keeping battery charged. if battery good.clicking noise could be faulty starter solenoid either relay. or starter could be bad.

Car wont start, seems like battery went dead

If the car doesn't start with a jump you might have a bad alternator. The alternator supplies voltage to the car once the engine is running. If the battery is dead, and the alternator isn't putting out sufficient voltage, the engine cannot run. Then again sometimes a car with an extremely dead or internally shorted battery WON'T start with a jump. Replace the battery and try again.

My engine wont start, and when I turn the key to start the engine it just clicks.

First check battery. If battery is good, you alternator needs to be replaced.

okay, think of it this way,you tried starting, engine turned slowly,no start.....then you charged battery, engine wont turn over(although accessories work)WHY WAS THE BATTERY DEAD TO START WITH.Try a jump start(another battery)if it starts then you know what im going to say.....

Battery was dead charged it up and tryed to start car but starter doesn't ingage but everything else works good was starting good before the battery went dead from sitting for a couple of months

More then likely you have a bad battery, if you feel battery is charge up, turn your head light's on , try to start car, if your head light go dim your battery needs to be replace it has bad cell's.Hope this was helpful.

Car won't start. Acts like the battery is dead, however I can't jump start it.

Well if you cant jump start it thats a good sign that the battery is dead so replace it and you should be fine, and another way you can try is hook the battery up to a charger overnight and if it doesnt hold its charge then you will know if its dead or not.
