Replaced sensors and check engine light still comes on and the car shakes

I have replaced the 02 sensors and clean throttle body. engine light stays on and the car shakes alot. When put machine to check codes it comes up all clear

I replace all the 02 sensors and drove it 60 mil and it keeps showing is the 02 sensors


Disconnect negative cable from battery. Turn ignition to on for approx 2 mins. Then turn off. Connect battery cable. This will reset computer. Drive car and see if light comes back on. If it does, remove the IAC from throttle body and clean it with throttle body/carb cleaner. Take off the air filter assembly from the throttle body and clean it too. Be sure to clean the port they the is fits into.

2 possible problems the 02 sensor did exactly what it is supposed to do,You have a idleing problem you are equipt with a ISC(idle speed control ) this is part of the throttle body then you have a MAF (thick film sensor) both item can be serviced doing a throttle body cleaning and a MAF cleaning.

Car bogs down epc light comes on, then goes off car runs then normally, I replaced mass air flow, front and back 02 sensors, but continues to bog and epc light goes on and off


epc is short for electronic pedal control, the throttle is controlled by an electric motor and has two angle sensors in the throttle body. the pedal it self has two sensors as well, sometimes after a battery replacement or replacement of certain parts (ecm throttle body pedal controls) the control modules need to be reset or "relearned" to one another. the dealer or independent shop with correct softwear can do this, if problem persists possible bad throttle body pedal sensors or ecm (engine control module)

03 trailblazer 4.2 l code p0172 has no power


P0172 02 sensor is detecting that the system is running too rich. An 02 sensor that is starting to go out will pull this code, but the following will cause the 02 sensor to throw this code as well:

A few things to look at. 1st thing I'd do is clean your throttle body with the battery disconnected. Use sensor safe throttle body cleaner, about $4.

From there, I'd look at your upstream 02 sensor, located on the exhaust manifold on passenger side of engine, very easy. Try and stay away from Bosch if possible.

New fuel filter, clean or replace your MAF sensor located on top of engine next to firewall. Also, probably time to change your spark plugs. I recommend A/C Delco 41-103, will idle better than other brands.

First off my car (i think my throttle body) started to make a strange noise when i turned my car off. It made a winding noise as if the thorrle body was having problems closing. Then my check engine light...


mas air flow sensor has a hot wire in it that sometimes gets dirty and it can be cleaned.you have to remove the sensor to clean the wire,be careful so the wire doesn`t get damaged.it could also be a voltage supply problem from the pcm or being sent to the pcm.the voltages must be checked if its out of range then replace the mas sensor.the throttle body has a throttle position sensor on it and rarely goes bad as does the throttle body.the 02 sensor code refers to the sensor on the opposite side that cylinder 1 is on.you could have a sensor problem or the mas sensor could affect this code.again this can be checked with a volt meter as well.the voltage should vary between .3-.8 volts and stay low or high for any length of time.this code should show the voltage is staying low for an extended time in order to set the code.

I'M HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY 03 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. AFTER DRIVING FOR ABOUT 20 MIN., WHEN I COME TO A STOP, THE RPMS START JUMPING UP AND DOWN AS IF THE CAR WANTS TO SHUT OFF. AFTER THIS HAPPENS, THE RPMS...


Battery should of been disconnected while cleaning the throttle body. Try disconnecting the battery again for about an hour. Re-connect and drive around for 20 min. Hopefully this will correct the P0171 problem. One more thing that could cause this.....check your intake manifold bolts for tightness. Being that the manifold is actually plastic, these bolts can come loose, so check these out, #5 and #6 near the firewall are the easiest to check. The P0340 deals with the camshaft position sensor on the corner of the block. Runs about $35, need to replace this. Also, clean your MAF sensor.

Another thing to keep in mind on your 02 sensor you replaced. A lot of TB owners have had problems with the brand Bosch. Though mine is fine with my Bosch replacement, many have problems with them.

Yes ihav e 2003 envoy with 4.2 liter an it has started idiling rough


There are a few things that you can do, do get it idling correctly, and it's fairly inexpensive.

1. Clean your throttle body with throttle body cleaner, with the battery disconnected. Needs to be shiny. When finished, drive around for 20 minutes or so with all accessories turned off, so the computer can relearn the newly cleaned TB. About $7 for the cleaner

2. Replace your spark plugs with A/C Delco 41-103, will idle better with this plug. Around $7 ea
3. Replace your upstream 02 sensor, the one right after the exhaust comes out of the engine, easy to replace. Between $67 and $80, try to stay away from Bosch.
4. Replace your fuel filter around $15 or less.
5. Check your vaccum lines for leaks.

Throwing code p0300 running rough random multiple missfire changed plugs, started car after sitting for a while ran good untill automatic choke shut off


there are a few possibilities that could cause this one is a dirty mass airflow sensor or an oxygen sensor giving false information to the pcm. i have a few things to try if you have an ls option package or higher you have a 3800 series 2 engine the mass air flow sensor is on the top of the throttle body. to clean this sensor, remove sensor by taking two screws off top unhook wire connector and lift up. images?q=tbn:and9gcqvquq-ytppsamlgyuwiqep8tegsa4ezpza1bsmdhtleu7ktnsmigthis is sensor upside down clean the little wire in center with carb cleaner just spry through the hole shake it a few times and reinstall. start engine see how it runs. if you have a 3400 g_mcmy.jpgremove silver sensor from air inlet duct running from throttle body to air filter box (check for signs of mice in air box due to sitting for a period of time prior to problem) loosen two clamps on sensor,unhook wire connector and wiggle out sensor spray wires clean with carb clean shake a couple of times and reinstall (do not touch wires with fingers) start car and test. the other possibility is 02 sensor the easiest way to figure this out is to unhook the precatalyst sensor if you look over the back of the engine( on either engine) were the exhaust comes off of engine there is a sensor there un hook it start car and run it see if condition improves.
