SOURCE: P0174

A code P0174 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:

The MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor is dirty or faulty. Note: The use of "oiled" air filters can cause the MAF to become dirty if the filter is over-oiled. There is also an issue with some vehicles where the MAF sensors leak the silicone potting material used to protect the circuitry.
There could be a vacuum leak downstream of the MAF sensor.

First 2 things i would check is a bad vacume line , or you got some bad gas and need to put in a bottle of HEAT in the fuel and run through 1 tank and will dispence any water you picked up. if this does not work replace your o2 sensor. This tell your engine how much fuel presure to send to your engine. Best of luck to you.

Hi. My clutch slips when standing still at a steep hill and you can hear the screetching sound. Help needed.

oil on clutch plate or disc is at wear limit, either way you need a new clutch. Check free play adjustment of cluth pedal, too tight will increase slippage

My NZE corolla engine is making a rattling sound when ascending a hill. How can I stop this problem? Please give me some solutions?

Park your car on a steep hill or jack the rear end up with a jack.

Locate the timing belt cover.

Increase the rpm and listen for the "rattling sound".

Most likely it's the timing belt guide.

If your engine has over 85,000 miles then you do get a complete timing kit and do the water pump at the same time.

Loses power on steep grade

Sounds like you need a clutch replacement.

Try this. Go somplace where there are no cars, and no possibility of running into anything. Stop the car. Set the park brake. With the engine running, put the vehicle in 1st gear. Hold the foot brake pedal, and give it gas, and let out the clutch slowly.
If the engine does not stall real quick, the clutch disc is bad.

Wow, I just went through the same problem and guess what it was a clogged converter and a bad oxyegen sensor. The garaged fixed it up for me by putting an eco converter on it and a new O2 sensor. I have a 2003 Chevy Impala,V6 3.8 engine. Good Luck!!!!

There is a loud grinding noise when the clutch is pushed in.

Sounds like a clutch release bearing locked up, or pressure plate damage. In any case its obvious that the prinny has to come out and look inside to ascertain extent of damage. This major project requires the expertise and experience of a mechanic.
