Question about Peugeot 307
My peugeot 307 wont start on key but can be bump started what is the problem
By bump start do you mean you can have it pushed or push it, jump in and depress the clutch and get it started using the momentum of the vehicle to turn the crank? I usually call that a jump start but I think I have heard it called bump start (from having it bumped/pushed by another vehicle I think). Anyway if that is the case you need a new starter. If not post back and I will do what I can to help.

Sounds like a starter motor problem. Possibly a sticky solenoid. Try rocking the car or giving the starter and solenoid a hard bang with a hammer.

an approved/competent peugeot dealer with peugeot diagnostic equipment can connect it to your vehicle and check the signals from the camshaft and crankshaft sensors. there shouldn't be any doubt about it. the engine control unit(ecu) needs both sensor readings(to identify which cylinder to inject fuel into)before it can start. a new cam sensor has a plastic nipple which should be in contact with the target plate when first fitted, this brakes off when the engine is started. it is used to ensure the correct gap between sensor and target plate. to large a gap and the sensor may not work correctly. once engine is started this info' is ignored by the ecu. the fuel pressure(measured by another sensor) can also be checked and is displayed on the equipment in "bars". 250bars of pressure are needed for engine to start. one of these (cam, crank, or fuel pressure signals) must be wrong if engine is not starting(assuming uncontaminated fuel). which one determines diagnostic path to be followed.

May be the battery of your car is got completely drained. sometimes by mistake any of the car lights or ac or any battery consuming accessory remains on.And due to this battery gets completely drained and due to no voltage in battery the car does not start. In some cases the car does not gets turned off.If there is a problem in ignition switch circuit and this also drains the battery.Get the car battery voltage checked. It should be 12 volt if the battery is properly charged. This will let you know what is the problem .Also check the battery connections if its got loose then this can happen.-------------
