Question about 2005 Ford Galaxy
Drivers door electric switches dont work for all of the cars windows. the rear and o/s windows will motor down from the drivers side but will only wind back up using their own door window swiches.
It's most likely a bad switch. Check it with a voltmeter or continuity tester to see if it needs replaced.

SOURCE: 92 F150 power window and locks
try taking apart and cleanig all contacts first. make sure you are getting power to switch. Sounds more switches are going bad. They usually last about 5 to 7 years before they start going out.

The first thing you should do is swap the passenger switch in place of the drivers switch and then see if the window now works. If so then you need a new drivers side switch. It may be clicking but it may not be working.
If it still doesn't work then you need to get your hands on a volt meter and get back to me.
You need to remove the drivers door panel and investigate the window mechanism, it sounds asthough its sticking.
Very best regards

there are relays that keep power to the window motor until it is all the way up..it sounds like there is a problem with that relay or the switch itself
hope this helps.....Good luck!

pull the b pillar cover off next to the driver's seat, there will be a connector with 2 red wires mounted to the b pillar right next to the seat belt retractor, find the other connector, and connect them. should operate normally.

It sounds like there may be a short in the wires. Check the wiring inside the door jam. the wires should be within a rubberised sleeve, possibly a blue and tan coloured wire.
