What happens is the door handle linkage breaks and you cannot open the door. You can get it open with a very thin metal strip, by jimmying the latch, but it is really hard to do. I also used to drill a hole in the door to get them open, then replace the door.

The latch of the glove compartment broke. Can't open the compartment

If you look under glove box you will see two to four screws that hold the glove box on. Take out the screws and the glove box will drop down and you can get inside and release latch..then you can get a replacement latch and replace.

Remove golve compartment on 1999 chevy malibu

There's only so many screws that hold the glove box in. Some are inside the glove box and some are underneath. You may need a torx wrench depending on the type of screws holding the glove box in.

Where is the blower motor resister located

The blower motor resistor module is located behind the glove compartment, mounted to the blower motor. There is a release lever in the rear left of the glove box, push this lever to allow the glove box to drop down completely.

Glove compartment will not open and the lever and lock dosent work going to have to get into it a diffrent way

the only way is to loosen the glove box.. theres probably 4-6 bolts that hold it on and 90 percent of the time you can see them under the dash on the bottom of the compartment.. loosen them up and hope for the best..
