Check first for a possible blocked fuel filter or clogged fuel lines

VAN WAS PARKED FOR A YEAR PUT GAS IN REPLACED DEAD BATT STARTS RUNS FOR 4 OR5 SEC TURNS OFF STARTS RIGHT BACK AND DIES AGAIN HELP

You'll need to know if you are loosing spark to the plugs or fuel to the injectors.
Could be a faulty relay, fuel pump, or other component.
Does the van have a security system ?

Car starts fine idles rough dies soon as u give it gas replaced fuel filter crankshaft positioning sensor wires running from coil to sensor are not touching and are not broken replaced plug wires and plugs...

If it sat for 3 years the fuel may be in pretty tough shape. If he gasoline smells like a can of old varnish or turpentine then it may have gummed up either the fuel pump, injectors or both. I would start by testing the fuel pressure with a gauge first to see if it is actually pumping enough fuel to run the engine. If the fuel smells bad or your pump isn't working you may need to have the fuel tank removed and cleaned and the fuel lines flushed to get all the old gunky fuel out of them. Also check to be sure you actually have spark at the plugs so you'll know if the ignition system is still working.

I have 1984 vett .when it is at an idle it looks like it flooding

It's fuel injected? Thats interesting...... I would think it would be TBI or have a carbureted. Sounds to me like it has an injector stuck open. Maybe even a couple. Try running a really concentrated fuel injector and fuel system cleaner in it. BG works well. Seafoam is ok, but not as good as the BG stuff.

1984 Rabit loses power while going up an incline

Fuel pump and injectors are plugged. Any time a car sets with gas in it the gas separates and will varnish the fuel pump and injectors and possibly cause a fire just like a Vette I had to work on had the same problem. That means new fuel pump and filter and possibly injectors.
