Overhead DVD player in 2008 Toyota Sienna does not show the picture. Sound works.

Hello, I hope this helps. If no change then you probably have a hardware/ wiring issue and the dvd player may need to come out. Please advise
1. Confirm the DVD RSE system is inoperative. (blank screen) 2. For vehicles with Toyota navigation system: Perform the following procedure to turn OFF the RSE Lock function. A. Press the INFO switch on the navigation unit. B. Press the "Screen Setting" touch button on the navigation display. C. Under the "Rear Lock" option, press the "OFF" touch button and then press "OK" in the upper right part of the display. D. Press the DVD switch on the RSE system (if a DVD is NOT already in the player, insert one) and confirm screen is ON and the system will play DVDs. 3. For vehicles without Toyota navigation system: Perform the following procedure to turn OFF the RSE Lock function. A. Push the Audio Control knob multiple times to cycle through the various options (Bass, Mid, Treble, etc.) until "REAR LOCK" is shown on the screen. B. Turn the Audio Control knob so the display says "OFF" next to "REAR LOCK". C. Press the DVD switch on the RSE (if a DVD is NOT already in the player, insert one) and confirm screen is ON and the system will play DVDs. 4. If the above procedure resolves the concern, explain the system operation to the customer. This procedure is described in the Audio/Video" section of the vehicle Owner's Manual. 5. If the above procedure does NOT resolve the concern, perform RSE diagnosis using the Technical Information System (TIS), 2006 model year applicable vehicle Repair Manual.

I have a 2009 Toyota Sienna van and had the battery replaced, the radio will not work now.

Does radio show "CODE" in the display?
Call dealer or look in your owners manual.
4 digit code will get it back.
Always save the "memory" in the systems when changing the battery.
Use an external 12 V. source to keep computer, clock and radio
memory.
Losing memory may cause the engine to NOT idle and run poorly as well.
A 9 V. battery in the cigarette lighter is one way.

2006 Sienna battery went dead. After charging, navigation and radio don't work. Screen works and says "NO MAP DVD - Insert Disc" Checked Radio fuses 1,2 and 3 are good, as well as 12v...

System memory may have been erased/lost due to extended loss of power. System may have to be reprogrammed to effectively work. Do you have the programming CD? If so, check owners manual for programming procedures

I am getting Power (fuses ok) to my Radio and Navigation on my 2006 Sienna but the power button will not work so no sound or Navigation screen? What could be wrong? Thanks

Check to make sure all fuse associate to the radio/navigation is good, sometime like the acc socket fuse being blown could cause the thing to not work also, so make sure you get to all the fuse to make sure they are not blown. After that, there maybe a fuse located with the navigation unit behind the radio/navigation unit that may be blown. If there isn't or is still good, check all connection to it. If all is good then your unit could be history and you may need to take it to a dealship to actaully see what is going on.

Navigation system wont work

You will have to buy a new navigation unit @ about $2,000. I have a 2006 Sienna XLE Limited with Navi. Mine broke by having no display, had a clicking noise, and the lights would come on and off about every 5 seconds. www.radiomedics.com told me they found the problem with the toyota navigation units (they had seen a lot of them) and could fix them for around $300 if Denso (the co. who makes the units) would sell them the part. But Denso will not sell the part so we are forced to buy a used unit (who knows how long that will last) or new. Toyota reliability, yeah right.

All of those are tied into the same fuses or they are tied in somewhere under the dash, You can get a fuse tester for a couple of dollars if you dont have a meter to see if th fuses are good you should be able to pull the fuses and see if they are bad. Dont forget when you check the fuses in the car, make sure and check the fuses and the relays in the fuse box under the hood.

2005 navi sys. wont read disc. Toyota want 3-4K to fix. Now after a $700.00 tune up, the back up camera, display, and steering wheel controls for radio/dvd system do not work. I only have 57k miles. Now...

I would raise all holy hell with Toyo. You only have 57000 miles on your veh. and all of this is not working...Demand that whomever did the tune up reconnect the camera and display.
Now the navi system is all together a 'separate' system. I realize they use the same screen but internally they are two different components....I don't work for crutchfield, but they sell factory units for your vehicle that look superb, and are muuuuuuch cheaper that what toyo quoted you, 3-4k is outrageous! crutchfield.com has them for maybe $400-600 and they are an upgrage from the factory unit as well...they are completely compatable with your rear camera, navi, stereo...hope this helps
