Question about Cars & Trucks

2001 Mercury Grand Marquis random vibrations...

Random vibrations when up to speed that seem to be coming from the front passenger side and only lasts for a couple of seconds. If I give it more gas quickly enough, the vibration (sounds like running over the edge of the interstate...the ridges) stops.

If your lucky might just be wheel balance so get ALL wheels rebalanced but more likely to be wear in the steering/suspension but try the wheel balance first as cheaper option then have steering etc inspected good luck

P1131 and p1151 codes in 2001 mercury grand marquis, how do i fix it?

Try cleaning the MAF sensor first, then check for any unmetered air getting into throttle body (leaks in intake hose). Bank 1 is the driver's side of the engine (or front on FWD) and bank 2 is the passenger side.

How to remove speed limiter from 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis LS

I am not familiar with this particular system, but where can you legally go that fast? Some older Chevys had a device on the rotor that would limit top RPM, but I believe modern cars may have either a limit chip in the ECU, or a software limit. Check with a shop that uses a dyno for tuning and they should be able to help. Keep the greasy side down!

Ignition ccoil replacement 4 and 6

the last number in a po30 code is the cylender with the missfire. you say you have po306 and po302 which means #6 and#2 are missfiring. if you stand in front of car the passenger side has 1 through 4 cylenders starting with # 1 in front and # 4 in rear and driver side has 5 through 8 starting with # 5 in front and # 8 in rear. passenger side 1 2 3 4 - driver side 5 6 7 8. if you have indavidual coils on each plug then just unplug the coil and take the single 7mm screw out that holds it in place and the coil will come straight up off the plug
