SOURCE: I NEED ADVICE ON REPLACING

First take some pictures before disassemble the vehicle, pay attention to the areas where bolts are so you put the correct one back .
get some zip lock bags as you remove bolts and nuts put them in the bag and mark it (Example Rh Fender ) also the will need torx head tools for the bolts, screws, nuts.

You will need to remove
1) remove the bumper
2) remove center grill
3) remove header panel or front fiberglass panel. bolts on edges for this panel gets accessed bye removing the splash sheild to gain access to the back side of the header panel.
4) remove fenders and just reverse the procedure when reassembling

Good luck

I recently had my rear bumper pulled off my car after replacing it my rear sensors in bumper no longer work

If you took it off, check the wires on the sensors. IF someone worked on it and charged for it, make them fix it. Make sure it is the right bumper and the sensors were not damaged.

05' Grand Caravan, told that 2 of the rear bumper parking sensors need to be replaced. What is the proper term for these, as I can't find them anywhere, and how invasive to replace?

I wish I had good news but rarly does this sensor go out. unless someone rear ended you. in this case the bumper cover has to be removed.

I have a 2006 Ford Explorer and 2 of my park aid assist sensor are bad. They are in the rear bumper. How would i replace the sensors? Is it really necessary to remove the bumper?

You only need to remove the bumper cover. Remove both tail lamp assemblies. Under the tail lamps you will a 10mm and a 8mm bolt, remove these. Look into each rear wheel well rearward and you will find a T20 torx screw on both sides, remove these. On the top of the rear bumper, between the bumper and the bottom of the liftgate opening you will find 6 to 8 plastic rivets that can be removed by pulling the center pins out, remove these. At this point you should be able to lift upward and rearward and release the bumper cover. Once the cover is free you must disconnect the electrical connector to the sensor wiring harness. With the bumper cover on the ground or a bench, you will see 4 9/16" nuts that hold the styrofoam bumper cushion to the bumper cover, remove these. Now you should be at the point where the backup sensors are accessable. When you install the new sensors be sure your electrical connectors click when they connect. these connectors go on hard and if they don't click you will be doing this job again. Reassemble in reverse order.
Hope this helps

The rear parking sensor fuse is out, do you know location of fuse? 2006 jeep grand cherokee 5.7

The sensors are behind the rear bumper fascia, not sure about the fuse, the fuse box is under the dash left of the steering wheel, trying to sort through service manual now, you can grab one from promanuals.net for around 20 bucks though. Has complete component locations, over 7000 pages.

Rear bumper replacement

Remove the tail lamps, remove the plastic retainers from the wheel well area. Remove the retainers below the tailgate opening and below the bumper. Lift up on the sides of the bumper to disengage the sides of the bumper. Pull it back a little and disconnect the connector for the park aid sensors if equipped. Pull back and it is off.
