Question about 1998 Ford Escort
I've been having this problem with my car since I bought it, I never really drive manual transmission, so it could be human error. The car will sometimes start, while in neutral giving it gas causes it to bog down and stall. After stalling, I cannot get it to start again for about an hour. My first thought was that maybe it could be flooding, but I am not sure about that. Another thought was that it could be spark plugs, but I replaced them with factory plugs and still the problem persists. Maybe bad injectors...?
Check your air filter, Clean it out or replace with new one.
Check your fuel filter, replace with new one if needed.
Check your carburetor for anything obviously loose or vent/ vacuum hoses displaced.

Testimonial: "I replaced the air filter immediately after purchasing the car, and also checked for vacuum leaks, I never found anything wrong with the vacuum lines. It is a fuel injected engine, so no carburetor on it. Fuel filter is also brand new."
