Question about Suzuki Forenza
New gas cap the problem continues
this car is a Daewoo car, in Suzuki snake clothing. it is. and are trouble cars.
correlation is not always cause. (its way more complex)
Im answering for Cranks robustly but will not start. RIGHT?
does car start with gas cap removed or loose.?
NO, then its not the cap, PERIOD.
the cap will fail not at fill ups, as that makes you remove it
this breaks the seal and with the wrong cap lets in the air.
and car start. the wrong cap with no vacuum breaker
causes lost power and stalls driving. (lost fuel pressure)
so why try to guess. why not do the simple tests. done now for 100 years. on all engines (spark , otto cycle engines)
1: check for spark. ????
2: check for flooding or lost fueling.
spark tips (yes, remove and look) are soaked in fuel dripping
yup , flooded,
to unflood it crank with throttle wide open, called WOT. this cuts fuel
and flooded cars starts, (operators guide tells this......)
if spark tips dry, then its starving for fuel
so add some. ( a test)
this page works for most cars made,
see what scotty does....... a video presented there

SOURCE: fill up with gas
i had the same problem, you have to change the perge control valve, its on the back of the engine below where the plastic intake pipe meets the metal intake manifold on the back side of the engine between the engine block and the firewall, on the underside of your car hood you will see a vacume system diagram, it will illistrate where the valve is, it should cost about 30 bucks or so at a hyundai dealership

get it checked it sounds like an EVAP code will turn up and have to be fixed as gas fumes are dangerous, to find and fix this you will need the system smoked .and tested by a shop with a scanner to test all the sensors.
