SOURCE: 1995 nissan pickup throttle position sensor

ok on a 2.4l on the black/green and white wires use ohm meter and there is no specific spec for that engine just make sure the the resistance changes and there is no dead spots. for the 3.0l black and white wires specs are 1.0-9.0k ohms im guessing the specs are the same either engine. close to full open

1995 nissan automatic truck faltering in reverse

This problem is commonly caused by a dirty automatic idle speed control valve and throttle valve. Buy a can of throttle valve cleaner from NAPA or Carquest or others (made by CRC chemicals) and spray it into the air intake while the engine is running, use up about 1/2 the can, engine will try to stall hold the speed up, shut it down and let it soak for 30 minutes, restart and blow out the remaining fluid, shut it down and disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 Min's to raise the base idle control.

Have all gears that work find but will not go in reverse it a 5 speed

Is this a new truck to you? Some manual's have a manual reverse lock-out, meaning you have to engage the lock-out to shift into reverse. This is usually done by pulling up on a small lever just under the shift knob.

Otherwise, the lock-out is inside the transmission and if that breaks, the transmission has to be removed to fix it.

The other possibility is that you don't have a synchronized reverse gear. It will not automatically sync with the engine speed. Try lightly putting it in reverse while letting the clutch up to the engage point, you know, right where the clutch first starts to grab.

I just put in a new battery and alternator and my

First step is to check the voltage of the charging system. Should be around 12 volts when engine not running , 14 volts when engine is running.
If these test out OK then your warning light is the problem. Could also be a poor connection or broken wire at the alternator. Alternator must be grounded to work , but if it wasn't , the light would probably not come on.

My tai light are not working now my turn singles work and brake lights do

Nissan had a recall on the tail lighs 1995. They repkaced the metal tube inside the truck body walls. Try finding the recall in history, I don't remember the year but I took my 95 in to the shop, I replaced a couple lights before the work and haven't had a problem since. Now have 200K miles, valves rattle when cold. I had a short block recall on my V6 in 97 for a cold knock on startup. Short block was replace at 40K miles. Starters have been my biggest problem with the truck.

Whining noise when engaging 1st or reverse.

i had a nissan pickup that would whine in all gears except 4th...it started out with 1st then reverse then went to the rest...solution was new transmission...or rebuild cause the syncronizers or the gears them selves are being chewed up...the new transmission was cheaper then a rebuild. or take it to somewhere that will do free diag on the transmission.

1995 Nissan Pickup, Blown turn signal fuse

you might need a Turn Signal Column Switch, I have a 1993 Nissan Pickup and my fuse blew all the time. I dexed that problem i have some wires in the back of the truck that was rubbing on the frame. Now my running lights are not working and when i turn on my head light one will come on so i will have to turn on and off about 10 times then both of them will come on, so my turn signal switch is bad.
