Question about Ford Focus
CLuster was bad swapped out. ABS and brake light stay on.
No. Plug and play. If they were on in the old one most likely you have an ABS problem. Scan for codes.

unfortunately , no you can not.
Ford is good like this... they make their own tools for any number of FORD ONLY items , such as fasteners and etc. so that you can not work on them without buying their tools first.
The security features are definitely something you will need to contact the dealer about.
Wish I had a more positive answer for you!

have you got a dimmer switch on your model to dim the dash lights. if you have it may be faulty. link the cables together if the lights work the switch is faulty. if you have not got a dimmer switch
your printed circuit on the back of the dash may be faulty or the plug in the back of the dash is not pushed all the way in. hope this helps

There has been issues with the solder joints on the PIN connection to the gauge cluster. The issue being that over time thru vibration and such one of these solder joints will fail (happened on or 1999) you can repair this though. You will have to remove all of the trim from around the driver's side dash board, this will include the trim towards the center of the dash. Once these pieces are remove you'll need to remove the gauge panel (I believe (4) allen head screws) carefully bring the panel and release the wire clip from it. Looking at the back of the panel, where the plug was, carefully with plenty of light look for one of the pins to have a failed solder joint. It will be very faint however the failed joint will be a fine dark line around the pin. To correct use a small soldering iron and reheat this solder until it wants to flow, let it cool and reassemble.
As I fore mentioned I had the exact same issue as you are describing, our is a 99. The most tricky part is the dash, take your time with it.
I hope this may have assited you,

No he's got wrong, but he's right respectively iun certain situations, but, n13 pulsars dashes (along wth old pintara and skyliones as far as I know) have a little nylon cog inside the fascia that run you odometer that breaks, because of the high demand because a lot of them break you can buy the little cogs off ebay for a couple of dollars and if you wnat to repair it yourself go for it or you can get a professionalto open her up and re install the new one for you
