Question about Ford Windstar
The inside handle cracked. I have the replacement. It appears that the handle is riveted on. Do i have to drill the rivets out or is there an easier way to remove it.
YUou drill the rivets out and then with a special type of rivet you rivet it back on. Buy a rivet head cuter to eash removal .

if you havent fixed it yet, see if you can slap a tiny bolt/nut in the hole to hold it down, if that doesnt work, you can always just leave it alone

I had to remove the inside door panel and drill a hole with a 1 1/4 hole saw where the linkage is at the rear of the door. I actually drilled a second hole to shine light in to see. There is a metal bracket at the back that is bent. I used a long screwdriver to pry and bend it back again. You can release the door using the screwdriver to move that bracket also.
