Question about 2007 Hummer H3X
The driver door is indicating that it is "open" even when it is fully closed, thus dome lights stay on. we pulled the plunger switch and tried twisting the wires together to hopefully make a continuous electrical flow, but it still indicates that the door is open. Assuming the plunger part must not be the issue, what is?
You have it backwards, when the wires are put together like you have done that indicates an open door to the module. When the door is closed it breaks the circuit and when open it makes the circuit. Pull the barrel around the plunger as far out as it goes and then close the door, then the switch is adjusted. Also since all doors have this switch how do you know you have the correct door??
