just a shot, but as with most pumps that are not sealed or submerged, they need to be primed.

My Toyota Bakkie 2000l vvti wont start after fitting new o ring.... Water leak

What O ring? On cylinder head? Do you see water floating in oil after draining oil pan? If water enters exhaust system, catalytic converter (assuming there is one), maybe clogged.

1990 5.8, 74000 miles well maintained. Oil preasure drops off

Why are you running 10 - 40 weight oil. You might want to rethink this. As the miles go up the ware on parts goes up. So I would recommend a 5 - 20 or 5 - 30 high mileage oil. If the oil pump is that new and working properly then this will help with the pressure.

Oil pressure light beeps on and off before and after new oil pump

Have you replaced the sending unit for the oil light yet, do that now and that will likely fix the problem. The sender will be near the oil filter most likely.

Low oil presure after been repair with a new oil pum

Oil pumps never go bad on these. The pick up screen gets clogged and the oil gallery gets clogged up. This bolts to the main bearing caps # 122 0-51a.gif

I own a 1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse and it has a full amount of oil but the pressure gauge is showing a lower pressure than what it used to. Could it be the oil pump going out? Im running Valvoline 5W-30...

take it to a shop have them put a manual guage on it if it has low presure you need a new oil pump and new bearing but it is very bad to drive with bad presure

Low oil presure only in the morrning for about 2 min. at the same time motor is running fine, but showing no oil presure, then gauge go's to normal. Motor still running fine! Could it be a pressure...

Ok filter problem could be there filters that have a valve used to chek the oil gallery is not downloaded and so when the engine begins to work up the pressure quickly. Also in other systems, this valve is fitted in the pump aceite.thanks good luck

Does it burn oil ? Do you have to add oil than all the time, check the oil presure switch first, 99 % it is NOT the oil pump!
