Have a compression test done to confirm your suspicions. If the compression is low on some but better on others it may be valves . If the compression doesn't alter check the cam shaft is turning ( broken timing belt)

Camshaft removal and check for damage

Your cam shaft is located inside of the engine block. To access the cam the accessories need to be removed from the front of the engine along with the water pump and the balancer to be able to remove the timing cover. You will also need to remove the intake and pushrods That is for a V-6, a 4 cylinder is much easier as you just need to remove the valve cover and the cam caps.

C200 Merc 2009 model, engine turns but car wont start, why

same for all engines. (no engine stated, so no exact answers)
is your gas or diesel (ill guess gas)?
gasoline and not LPG or other fuels. real gas ,nor flex fuels on E100
cranks but no starts.
blown fuses, check fuses first, ( always #1 with EFI)
bad gas.,
the first check is spark , gas dont burn lacking SPark (mr,otto cycle)
watch funny guy SCOTTY.

any engine can run on test fuel, if it has spark (Otto)
some engines will never start
  1. lost compreesion 1 or more cylinders
  2. melted CAT converter, blocking exhaust
  3. EgR stuck open, wide, if your unstated engine has one.
  4. fuel pressure zero or 10psi. dead. must be at spec.

No compreesion on 2000 gmc 4.3l

You need to check the mechanical timing of the cam and the crank. it appears that they are not correct. The valves are open when the pistons are compressing.

Compression test on a 2003 kia spectra

you need a tool to measure high pressure. you can also make it by yourself.

when you have tool and proper fittings (same diameter with spark plugs) you will need to remove fuel pump fuse. you will remove all spark plugs. you will screw your pressure gauge to one of spark plug holes. someone will cracnk engine(but it wont work of course) you will record pressure value you read on gauge. and you will try on all cylinders same way and you will compare results. all cyclinders must be read close to each other.

Stalled at a light, wont start. pumping gas pedal with no fuel smell. Turns over, lots of spark. Changed fuel pump, but this did not remedy problem....what else could it be?

The woodruff key for crankshaft may have sheared so the camshaft wont turn, or the timing chain tensioner may have failed.A compreesion test is advised.

Water has been leaking into the boot of my Honda Civic. I have found the place where the water is getting in. What should I use to fix it?

It is from the rear wash wipe I bet. You need to locate the drain tubes in the roof, balst them out with compreesed air or use tigerseal to block them up if you dont use the washwipe.

Washer works okay on drivers side but is barely flowing on passenger side.

Try to take a SMALL WIRE and clean it out, or take the hose off, and try to clear it with compreesed air.
