The battery is in the rear of car on the right, lift up the 1st storage panel and then the next one covering the spare tire, the battery is held in place by a simple bracket, remove the bracket, then remove the negative battery cable then the positive, clean the battery cables as needed and reinstall new battery.

I'm having trouble removing the old battery which is dead. Any help?

There is a small nut on the side of the battery at the bottom 13mm I think. Remove battery cables and lift out If you can't get the cables off and they use bolts use vice grips or cut it off and buy a new one at the hardware store. Make sure there are sparks near top of battery. Put on safety glasses

Removing dead battery

there should be a phillips screw at the base of the battery holding the bracket in place. use a phillips screwdriver to remove the screws. I jumped off my car and went to autozone and they helped me remove and install the new one.

Battery wont take charge

Check the battery for a dead cell. Even no maintenance batteries have caps that can be removed. Once removed, use a battery tester (<$5 most auto parts stores) to determine if there's a dead cell. If no dead cells exist, then the charging system aka alternator/regulator have issues. Before doing further analysis, ensure that the connections are tight and free of corrosion.

Can't remove key from ignition. battery is dead

If the battery is dead, the ignition keys will not release from the ignition. If there is no signal from the transmission shifter that it's in park since the battery is dead, then the ignition lock will not release the keys.  After charging the battery or jumping the blazer to start it and the key's still will not release, try this.
There is a "plunger" as part if the ignition. Under the steering wheel there is a small removable cap that you can take off and put a small screw driver up into and press the plunger in and it will release the key. Good luck and hope this helps, Keep me posted be glad to help.
