Is there an inline fuse for the tail lights on 1996 Ranger? There is no fuse in the box.

Tail lights - park / brake - turn ? The park lamps get B+ voltage from the head lamp switch , unless your vehicle has anti- theft system .Then get B+ voltage from parks lamps relay .

Why aren't parking lights working?

Park lamp fuse 20amp located in the under hood fuse box .DRL control module
Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) Control Module
Right of the steering column, behind the IP
Park, Sidemarker, Tail and License Lamps
Voltage is applied continuously to the PARK fuse to the headlamp and the instrument panel (IP) lamp dimmer switch through CKT 1340.
When the headlamp and the (IP) lamp dimmer switch is in the PARK or HEAD position, voltage is applied to CKT 9 thus activating the following lamps:
• The park lamps
• The side marker lamps
• The tail lamps
• The license lamps
The park/turn lamps are the only lamps that do not activate yet receive a current from CKT 9. The park/turn lamps do not activate because the voltage drop across the front side marker lamps is much higher than that across the turn lamp filaments Step

Where is the headlight relay switch located on the 1990 geo metro

what makes you think it has one.? or is this a wild goose chase.
most 90s suzuki, any make have no relay. crude yes, but fact.

i just looked, bingo, no relay, so is just a waste of my time.
why not post symptoms (both dead, lows, highs and flash mode>?)
dim lamps. (there is a fuse for both sides)
and let me tell you how to find it in 5min works with a voltmeter.
instead of this guessing game.

ill guess , both head lamps dead.
the fuses are blown. or both head lamps bad, yes, that happens.
bad head light switch. or its connector loose
car is in canada (sure, location really does matter )
and has DRL and DRL is busted.
this car is really a Suzuki Swift.
in fact made side by side, with 99% same parts.

there are 2 real metro forums and the better swift
http://www.teamswift.net/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=36494&hilit=head+lamps+dead

there is no relay, sorry, but not. so wana fix it? or guess.
a $10 voltmeter, and bingo, no more guessing.
ask how to use one, its childs play.
really.

if one lamp is dead, swap lamps after checking fuses.
or look at the bulb with eyes, see those, tungsten filaments (edison)
if one is gone, it is.

No tail lights

no (park -tail-running lights) is dash parking lamps glowing?
check the tail fuse yet?
94 accord
this circuit is huge, park/tail, up to 20 lamps. are all dead>?
front park, side park, tail park and dash lamps all out.
this i the red-blk feed. all comments , USA, as lighting varies by country. (laws)
license plate light dead too????????? that too is park
there is NO RELAY.
the fuse 32 feeds the HL (head light) switch and in PARK posistion
it feeds 12vdc raw power to all 38 lamps. (side corning lamps, etc)
the license plate lamp is key, there are 2 lamps.
and both probably are not out.
so if they are good lamps and both tail lamps are good and fuse
then they must glow, if one lamp shorts as 1156 or the like love to do
then it blows the fuse. as does the trailer jack (option) .

so fuse 32 park/tail blown
or HL park switch bad, if all 20 odd lamps dead. and fuse holds.
that simple, and this cars wiring is very simple and nice.

2001 ford ranger , no high or low beam lights

Check the On/Off switch on the dash, steering column, and the steering arm/lever is connected properly and that the lighting cable's are cable connectors are connected and not corroded.
1, To check the Earth: Connect a cable from the earth of the bulb to the chassis/body/ metal part of the car.
2, Using a Test lamp: Disconnect the cable that connects the power to the head light bulb, Connect one end of the test lamp to any one of the connectors at the end of the cable that plug's into the bulb. With the low beam on, only one of these wire's will the light switch turned on will light up the test lamp bulb. If none of the cable's light the test lamp bulb. the problem is in the High beam relay, and possibly the Low beam relay as well.
One Head lamp relay: If one cable show a light in the test lamp, check the earth cable on that lamp.
Two Head lamp relay: If two cable's show a light in the test lamp, check the earth cable on that lamp.
Some of the car's electrical systems use the Steering column as an earth point. Check the switch.
In many cases are what is called Earth return (this means that the positive power (+) is supplied by one wire, and the negative earth (-) is connected via another wire) this is to reduce the problems of the rust effecting the power flow.
Get the wiring loom layout in the Cars book
Sorry I can't be of more help
