Won,t start after it sits a while

Alternator may be faulty and not charging the battery or you may have a voltage leak to ground which is discharging the battery like a clock or radio light or some other faulty electrical component leaking power.

The alternator is the easiest to check. Does the battery go flat as you drive it? If not its probably not the alternator. You could check it with a current meter when the engine is running.

You could do the same with the battery when the engine is off to see what the current drain is. This might give you an angle on the thing which is draining the battery.

I tried to start my car this morning. There was no electricity at all and i mean at all, The power locks won't even work nothing. The car won't start, it's perfectly silent when you turn

You would need to use a meter or test light to find out what exactly is dead. It could be a short in the fuse box, or a bad connection in the harness, or at the battery or starter.
You may need a repair book or shop manual to get the wiring diagrams.
If nothing on the truck works, you would start at the battery cables and work back to the key switch.

I try to start my Lincoln town car and when I turn the ignition on the electrical battery system goes down but won't turn over. I have installed a new car battery

You would need to take a meter or test light and check for power after the battery. You could have a bad connection inside one of the cables.
There should be 12 volts at the battery post and at the cable end on the starter. Also be sure and check the ground connections.

03 escalade won't start or turn over

Do you have power?
battery might be drained cause your alternator is not charging anymore, 2003, seems about time for a new alternator, those vehicles consume lots of power cause pretty much everything is electric, lots of motors and servos, so they depend a lot on a good power source from the battery. If alternator doesnt charge it, no power...

have power system checked.

Good luck.

Does this car have any electrical power? Check the 'Main' fuse in the box under the hood. It could also be listed at 'BATT' or 'ALT' fuse. If the car has no electrical power and you know the battery is good, make sure the cables aren't hooked up backwards. Try these things and let us know if it works.

The battery won't hold charge new battery

You put a new battery, now its acting like very low power again?
Most likely the alternator is bad. Maybe not putting out enough to recharge battery. Could have been the original problem.

Can be checked with a meter. Battery at rest should show 12 - 12.9 volts more or less.
With engine running, should be showing 13.5 - 14.7 volts as alternator is pushing electric back into battery.

If you start engine and (after say 10 seconds) voltage stays same or drops, then the charger needs to be replaced. Thats the alternator. Shop around at different auto parts store. (Phone first)
