SOURCE: air pump relay 2005 trailblazer

It is in one of 2 places. Either in the underhood electrical center(fuse block), or under the truck on the driver side frame rail, rearward of the ABS brake module assembly.

If the fuel pump running when the key is turned on,could the fuel pump relay still be bad? If so where is the fuel pump relay?

Fuel pump relay is not bad if the fuel pump runs and anyway it has nothing to do with spark. Relay is in the underhood fuse box.

Engine quit at freeway speed !

Could be the fuel pump or pump relay going bad.To check relay simply replace it with another. It also could be the crank sensor or cam sensor.

How do I change out the fuel filter on my 2005 Trailblazer (6-cyl)?

The fuel filter for your vehicle is located inside the fuel tank and is part of the fuel pump module. There isn't an external filter that you can change. I believe that the filter is sold only as part of the pump module so if it is indeed plugged you have to replace the entire pump module. I would have the fuel pressure tested to be sure you actually have a filter problem before replacing this as it is quite expensive.

My 2005 Trailblazer ran out of gas, now it won't start. It cranks and catches, but shuts right back off. Is there a fuel shut off valve? If so, where?

check fuel pressure may have gotten air in system-- at the fuel valve port under hood the valve looks like a tire valve and is on the fuel line have a rag handy turn key on not start u want to here fuel pump hum when stops turn off key and at valve with rag around depress pin should get fuel if air let bled and pressurize again continue till air out -if nothing and pump came on possible filter clog or pump burnt -if fuel, have pressure checked may not be enough pressure to keep running this also filter or pump damage good luck

Replacement of fuel pump ,filter & its location.

  1. Try this, I had the same problem and I thought it was the fuel pump. My car would turn over but the fuel pump would not kick on. I changed out the fuel pump relay and and still nothing. I check the wiring to the fuel pump and it was not getting any power. Eventually I ended tracing the problem down to the power surge relay which is located by the battery it had gotten moisture inside it and burnt up the coil.
