2009 matrix 115v power outlet not working

My power outlet, 115v, is not working. I checked the fuse to the inverter, it's good... Checked it with ohm meter... Lighted switch in dash is lit up, but no power from outlet. Where is the OEM power inverter located on this 2009 toyota matrix

Hi Eldon Higgins, I want to help you with your problem, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box? what pin type is it out as caravan hook up is 4 pin type on most caravans for live volts, has switch in caravan to switch power on to the mains in the caravan. have seen some 3 pin types as well that do the same. neutral to neutral line both have to be connected at other end for voltage to come out of the inverter.

You see I don't know because I don't even know where the inverter is in the car, it is factory built in. On the dash there is the on/off button for the inverter and below the shifter is the 115v outlet right beside the cigarette lighter outlet. There is no reset buttons. The owners manual shows the fuse block under the hood ant the fuse is a 15amp in slot #37 and it is not blown... I just want to know where the inverter is, in the dash? Under the hood? Any ideas?

SOURCE: 2006 Toyota Matrix 2nd fuse panel location?

The second fuse panel that you seek is under the dashboard, on the driver side (for a US car). This box is called the "JB1" (junction block #1), and contains several relays in addition to the 15 amp "CIG" fuse that you need to replace.
Hope this helps, and thanks for choosing FixYa!
Happy Thanksgiving!

SOURCE: power window toyota camry

Fuse box is by drivers left knee. Above this are the flashers and about 3 inches above this is the circuit breaker for the windows and door locks. breaker is silver, about 1/2 by 5/8 inch and in the center is the button you need to push in to reset. I used an unbent paper clip to press it. Make sure unit is not energized. May need to unplug breaker first. Press in center button until it clicks.

2011 honda pilot accessory port failure

remove what.

i bet you didnt know there are 2 fuse boxes.

check all fuses in both boxes.

or read the drawings on

see what fuse powers this acc. port.

the inverters suck big current and will blow a power port in jiffy

(read amps on inverter, and see, wow huge)

1000w is 83+ amps.

500w is 40 amps. both are fuse killers.

fuse that look bad are

fuses that look good, can in fact be bad, hair line cracks

use any ohm meter on low scale, 0ohms good. infinity bad.

to test any fuse.

That would be inside the car, the lower finish panel by your left foot, a 15 amp fuse marked on the cover "Power Outlet". -------- check out that fuse.also you can connect additional 12 volt power source to the 115 v power outlet to make it work. Its bit of modification that has to be done.Click this link for its procedure:--- --------------- This should help.thanks.Helpmech.

2008 Dodge Gr. Caravan 115 volt outlet

If there is power to the inverter from the switch, then there is a good chance that the inverter has gone bad. It looks like your van is a year old and the inverter may still be covered under warranty. Good luck and hope this helps. Good Luck and keep me posted, Be glad to help. The other thing to, the inverter it self may have a fuse on it that may have gone bad too, but i am not sure. Start with the warranty first and we can go from there, may be one of the technician can confirm that there is a extra fuse in the inverter.

Power outlets don't work. All fuses in both fuse

These are very simple circits, a power and a ground. Issues like this are usually a fuse, where the fuses checked with a test light, meter or just by looking at them? Fuses are decieving sometimes.
If they are ok, with a test light check for power at the outlets. If no power and the fuses are good then you may have a broke wire, or a ground issue. Let me know what you find.

The power outlet under the cup holders

check these fuses:

under the hood fuse panel:

#23 - auxiliary power
#25 - ac/dc inverter

instrument panel fuse panel:

#29 - retained accessory power

if these fuses are good and they have power at the fuse panel, the outlet itself may be bad. if your inclined and you have a test light you can check to see if the outlet has power going to it by probing the wires on the back of the outlet if you can get to them. test the red and white wire for 12v positive and test the black wire for a good ground. if those wires test ok then it its the outlet itself that is bad. if the wires do not test ok then there is a break in a wire somewhere which will have to be traced and repaired
