Does the electric windowwinder regulator need lubrication. the window makes loud noise when being closed - 1997 pajero 3.0L V6 swb

Your car's windows lay in the window tracks. These tracks keep the windows in place, and guide them as the power window regulator powers the windows up and down. Because the windows are tightly fit into the window tracks, they will come into close contact with any debris that gets stuck in the tracks. If the window tracks are dirty, the debris will cause friction against the window, which makes a large amount of noise. On the other hand, if the window tracks dry out, the windows can get stuck in them, resulting in an unfortunate noise when the regulator forces the window to move in the track. Imagine the noise your windshield wipers make when running across a dry windshield, and you'll understand why a dry or dirty window track is so noisy.
Dry spray silicone in the tracks.

2003 Durango front drivers window jumped off cables tracks

This a common problem on the chrysler products. The whole assembly inside the door while need replacing. I thinks once you get the panel off there is only about 5 screws that have to be removed. the assembly comes already as one piece. its really not to hard to change.

Driver window will not roll up or down....cables all wound up inside window motor...need schematic for window

What you need is a window regulator/motor assembly. Not a difficult repair. Two clips hold the window to the mechanism. Two bolts each for the tracks, and three bolts hold the motor to the inside panel of the door. Remove all these and the cable hold downs, fold together, and remove from inside the door. It is probably easier if you remove the glass after you remove the clips.

How to put window on passenger side back on track

take the door panel off... put the window in down position... now you should be able to work the window up with your hands and you will be able to see inside the door where the tracks are and where the window needs to go... just line it up in the tracks and let it come down into place... you will need some good adhesive or silicon in the bottom track which holds the window in place and keeps it from being able to get out of the tracks ...put the adhesive in the bottom track before you push the window all the way down into the bottom track... roll up the window all the way but do not roll it down again until the adhesive has had time to dry fully... replace door panel

Drivers side door -electric-is off the track-need schematics to either take off door panel or how to fix window from outside

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. You'll then need to pull back the weather seal to access the guide rails which will be secured by two bolts

My window went down and would not come up. The 3 other windows goes down w/o problems. What may be the problem?

The window rests in a track to guide it up and down. The window will fall of this track causing the window to stay down. You can probly grab the window and pull it up but it will not stay it needs to be put back on track. You can do this by pulling off the door panel and working the window back in place and pushing the track tight agiant the window and adjusting them as need be. If this starts happing alot it will need a new window motor and regulater.

Good luck

I have a 06 saturn ion. my window will go up

towards the back of the door is a short track that runs left to right. there should be a nut either loose or missing on this track. put loctite on the stud, then put the nut back on. do this AFTER the window is back on track.
