SOURCE: instrument panel removal

I suggest you invest in a 1 year subscription to www.alldatadiy.com It is what I used when I disassembled the dash on my car, and is way better than a paper manual. Another tip is to keep some zip lock bags, and a sharpie handy, and seperate and label all hardware that you remove to help your reassembly

The memory has been compromised,if the car will start and run,it might relearn,do not remove the cables again, but try driving the car with out the ac on,for 2 minutes, down the road, threw all the gears, then turn the ac on high blower motor, and drive it another 2 minutes, see if it relearns. If it will not,it ,the computer will have to be reprogrammed.

Don't know much about my Lexus Ls 400-1993. Need to put on heater but, can't figure out how

it has climate control which is controlled via the climate control panel. This will keep the car interior at a constant temperature rather than blast heat at you.

Climate control is dead?

It sounds like one of 2 things happened:
1. You blew a fuse, be sure to check the fuse panel
2. You knocked the power block to the climate control system loose. Check that the power block leading to the climate controll is tight into the control unit

Heater only works on #1 setting after I replaced resitor pack

resistor is working but switch is bad. You can get a new switch from autozone for $20. Here is autozone procedure for pulling the control panel. Let me know if you have questions.
  1. Disconnect battery negative cable from battery and properly isolate to prevent accidental reconnection.
  2. Remove or disconnect the following:

Audio unit Instrument panel console bezel retaining screws
  3. Pull the instrument panel console bezel forwards and disconnect the electrical connectors.
  4. Detach the temperature and air distribution blend door Bowden cables from the climate control assembly.
  5. Remove the climate control assembly.

To install:
  1. Install or connect the following:

Climate control assembly Bowden cables to climate control assembly Climate control assembly electrical connectors Instrument panel console bezel and securely tighten the screws Audio unit Negative battery cable

Climate control not working

I had the same problem on my 2004 GMC Yukon XL.
Still under warranty the shop was able to reprogram the climate control system and tell what was wrong rather quickly with a OBD computer.
That’s when they found both of the climate control (driver and passenger) side actuators were bad and the control unit that tells the actuators where they should be was also bad.
The truck was in the shop with most all the dash, seats, consol, and steering wheel out for a week. The cost was over $1200.00.
That has seamed to fix the problem. Good Luck.

2006 Lincoln Navigator. My driver side heated seat is flaking out. I turn it on after starting the vehicle and it comes on for about 20 seconds and then shuts off. If i push the button a second time it...

Electronics involved !
The climate control seat system is able to heat and cool the front seats. Each climate controlled seat is operated by push-buttons on the dual automatic temperature controller (EATC) located on the instrument panel. Each front seat temperature is then monitored and controlled by the dual climate control seat module (dual CCSM) located underneath the passenger front seat cushion.

Both the driver and front passenger climate controlled seats are independently controlled electronically by the dual climate controlled seat module (CCSM) mounted to the bottom of the passenger seat cushion. The climate controlled seat system only operates with the engine running, however, if using a diagnostic tool to command the dual CCSM, diagnostic testing can be carried out with the ignition switch key ON engine OFF (KOEO). The system receives power from central junction box (CJB) fuse 118 (30A) through circuit 1153 (RD/BK) feeding battery voltage into dual CCSM C3265b pins 1 and 24. If power is disconnected from either pin 1 or 24 of dual CCSM C3265b, only 1 seat will be disabled (pin 1 for driver seat, pin 24 for passenger seat), the other will remain operational. Since both climate controlled seats operate independently, if a fault occurs setting a DTC specific to either climate controlled seat, only the affected seat will be disabled by the module and the other will remain operational.

Sorry , but it would be best for you to take it to the dealer or someother qualified repair shop.
