SOURCE: 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 Hemi. Electronic Throttle Control light is on. No accelerator response. Idles fine. Starts fine.

You need the dealer on this one, sorry but since the part is sold as the entire throttle assembly and it is very expensive it must be properly diagnosed. Do not just throw a new throttle body on the engine as it may not fix the problem.

SOURCE: My electronic throttle control warning light came

I have an 08 Sebring and mine has been having the etc light come on and the car will stall..with little to no notice. It's at the dealer right now and they can't figure out what is causing this because the light doesn't stay on once you turn off the car and restart it. It's kind of relieving to me that someone else is having this problem. Hopefully Chrysler can figure out what the deal is with this!!

SOURCE: I was going to start

Hello, The first thing we need to is see what fault codes are setting. With the doors closed cycle the key from off to on three times ending with it on and watch the digital odometer display. Don't crank the engine, just off to on. The codes start with a P and have four numbers, there may be more than one stored. Write down any that you see and post them here.
Here is a short video of the procedure to retrive codes.

2008 sebring sometimes when I stop, like at a stop sign, then when I turn and excellerate is doesn't want to go, it is sliggish. What could be the problem?

Could be a few different thing's . Do you know how to do engine diagnostics ? Have a scan tool to view engine sensor data ? Could have a problem with the electronic throttle control , map sensor , an EGR valve that's stuck open a little , a dirty throttle plate . How does the engine idle ? Ruff or smooth ? How does it run going down the road ? Plentyof power ? good power going up hills ?

seems something wrong with the Electronic throttle control (ETC) which is an automobile technology that electronically "connects" the accelerator pedal to the throttle, replacing a mechanical linkage
There is no mechanical linkage between the accelerator pedal and the throttle valve with electronic throttle control. Instead, the position of the throttle valve (i.e., the amount of air in the engine) is fully controlled by the ETC software via the electric motor.
- you better have the ETC immediately serviced by an approved Toyota-shop

Where is the electronic throttle located on a 2008 Sebring?

There are two components. The issue is most likely the TPS. Go to and make a free account, then logon and look for the free repair guides.
