SOURCE: engine cooling fan not running checked fuse ok

I would check the fan first disconnect the electrical connectors on it and use a pair of home made jumper cables and run it from the battery. If it works move unto relay if it doesn't you've found the culprit.
Next check relay in the fuse box. Coolant tempertant switch and its circuit aka thermal switch in the water jacket by the t-stat.

SOURCE: cooling fan wont run

Are you getting a check engine lite? It could be the coolant temperature sensor that signals the computer to run the fan. Good Luck Darrell S

I have a 08 nitro that the cooling fan never comes in causing over heating I've replaced water pump radiator heater core because it was bad the relay seems fine power coming in and out but no fan on

check fuses and coolant temp sensor
the coolant temperature sensor unit ( that is SENSOR not gauge sender unit) sends a report to the ecm to turn on the radiator fan when the temp is reached
If the fan is not coming on then the circuit is broken--sensor, wires ,fuses relay, fan-ecm
all have to be checked out

Overheating: cooling fan won't ingauge

I would first check the fan relays make sure they are good ..If no problem there then i would disconnect the wires going to the cooling fan..turn on your a/c ..that should activate the fan even if the vehicles cold ..see if you have voltage across the wires plug the meter right into the wire you should have 12 volts..if you do then its the fan..if the fan comes on during a/c but dont come when vehicle gets hot, then its probably the temperature senser that tells the fan to come on..Its located near the thermostat.

My truck is over heating, i have changed the thremostat and the radiator. I dont know if i burbed it corectly. Im at a stand still. it has good flow so the water pump is good.

Firstly check that the engine is actually over heating, you may have a faulty water temperature sender unit.
Also check your gauge is ok, disconnect the water temp sender wire and the gauge should either go to hard hot or cold. If neither happens your gauge is faulty.
Let me know how you get on.
Also check your fans are coming on to cool the radiator, if the engine is getting to over half way on the temperature gauge and the fans are not coming on then you have a faulty coolant fan sensor.
Replace this and you should be ok after that.

Van overheating when stuck in traffic fan not coming on changed two sensors engine temperature and temperature controlno change. Fan does work when put power to it externally. Van still overheating when...

u should check for a faulty thermostat first, they are only a few quid and easily replaced. if no change ur most likely faults are a blocked radiator or faulty water pump. u dont sayhow old ur van is but after the thermostat go to the radiator, when its hot check the bottom of the rad to make sure its hot, also brown water means u need to bback flush ur cooling system. even tho u have changed some sensors doesnt mean u got the fan switch sender, dash board sender and fan sender tend to be different sensors, so just double check.

1995 monte carlo overheating

If the radiator fan isn't coming on I would check the coolant temperature sensor which tells the fan to turn on. Check your owners manuel for locations of fuses or relays that control the fan. Lastly you can unplug the fan and direct jumper it to make sure the motor isn't burnt out. I hope this helps.
