SOURCE: how to turn off mitsubishi shogun sport front

if there is no switch and it doesn't have the second generation smart airbag system (there is a weight sensor in the passenger seat) you can't turn it off, refer to your owners manual on this.

SOURCE: how do i adjust my handbrake on a mitsubishi

You'll need to open up your center console and look at the base of the parking brake. You should see two screws and two cables for your rear wheels. You can tighten or loosen the screws to adjust the tension on the cable and your brakes

Wheel smokes,brake dragging

Make sure your handbrake cable is adjusted properly. Adjust the rear brake shoes down to where the wheels turn freely with the linings only just touching the drums. Be sure to pump the pedal a few times after adjusting, then try again.
The front wheels (pads and calipers) will just about never bind, so concentrate on the rear wheels. If you do suspect the front wheels, release the bleeder valve for just a second and then try again.

Cant find handbrake adjuster for peugeot 207

Just fixed mine, the handbrake adjuster is attached to the handbrake lever inside the consul, remove the blanking plastic section to the left of the handbrake, near the driver seat, the with a torch see in side to base of handbrake lever, you will see a vertical rod with a 10mm nut (black) adjustment is done here, quater turn at a time. my problem was the rear 2 cables had falled out of the Tee bar at the back, remove the plastic blanking plate in the rear cup holder see 13mm nut, undo this allows the consol to lift slightly, re insert cables etc, i the tied the 2 cables together with cable tie to stop them popping of the tee bar, so far so good

How do i adjust the handbrake cable on my 1998 seat ibiza

you dont its that simple ,if handbrake high and brake pedal low then the back drums need taking off and adjust the rear brakes manually by turning the little knurled wheel ,skim the outside of the drum with a small angle grinder to remove the lip and leave a bit of a bevel then adjust the the shoes till they catch when spinning the drum ,the cowboy way is to screw the adjuster up thats at the back of the handbrake behind the ashtray but if you do this vehicle will fail the yearly test for low handbrake readings and excessive pedal travel on the footbrake ,especially if it comes in front of me for its test

HOW TO ADJUST HANDBRAKE NEED TO PASS INSPECTION THE HANDBRAKE SHOULD HOLD AT THE 3RD CLICK IT DOESN'T NEW BRAKES AND A BLEEDED SYSTEM. WHAT DO I DO

The handbrake adjust is normally under the vehicle. The cable either splits into 2 cables or more likely, goes directly to a small curved bar. The single cable has a threaded end that goes through the bar with a nut on the end. Raise and secure the vehicle on jackstands before you crawl underneath. Look at one of the back wheels - you'll see a cable coming out to the front. Follow this cable to where it either crosses over the aforementioned bar or is connected to it. In the middle of this bar you'll see the nut from the front cable - Use a sharpie or other felt tip pen to mark the thread at the nut on the back side .Adjust this nut so it travels forward( towards the front of the vehicle) 5 or 6 threads , and check the handbrake to see if it's ok. Sometimes you can remove the cover over the handbrake and find an adjuster there - you may have to remove the center console if you have one.
Hope this helps!

V40 cable ajuster is situated under the rear part of center console. Remove rear tray, undo the two posi screws, remove the cup holder rubber base cover to expose one more posi screw-undo.
Now you can lift the section backond off the handbrake lever.
Look under the flexi plastic cover and find a gold nut which has a sprung retainer.
You can now effect adjustment via this nut book suggests six to seven notches from off to on for ideal adjustment.

The handbrake adjustment is at the handbrake. Pull off the rubber boot around the hand brake. (it pulls open at the botto of the handle and slips off over it). Next locate the 10mm bolt under the rear cup holder (there may be a little felt in there covering it). Remove the bolt.

Lift the console at the rear, it should pop loose at the front and lift up. You should have clear access to the adjustment bolt. Loosen the 10mm locking nut and this should allow you to adjust the cable.

Turn the adjustment clockwise to tighten the cable and once adjusted, re-tighten the locking nut. Reverse the whole process to put the console etc back together.
