I need to know how to replace door handle assembly

You have to get the door panel off first. There are hidden screws in and under the door handle. Then you have to take a screwdriver or hard flat tool and go around the inside of the door panel and pop out all the plastic clips that hole the panel in. Onced panel removed, take off plactic/paper on inside of toor. Two small bolts in handle. 10mm. Plastic clip on rod connected to door handle inside door need to be popped or disconected from rod. Plactic clip slides then rod pops out from inside door handle. Reverse procedure to reinstall new door hanle. Be patient. Sounds like a lot of work but is fairly easy. Try to do in 20 degree weather. It sucks. Have fun...

Need to replace drivers side rear view mirror, powered. I have the new mirror, just need to know how t install it.

Hi,
You remove the door panel on the inside and it is bolted on from the inside. One wire clip and 3 bolts. Takes longer to remove and replace the door panel than replace the mirror....look for a hidden screw under the armrest , under the window/door lock button panel and sometimes behind the reflector or light on the bottom of door..Usually there are 3-4 screws and then the rest of the panel is held on by plastic clips. Get the screws out, then work a flat screwdriver or putty knife around the sides and bottom of panel, then lift upwards to get the top sealing side out of the track where the window runs.....Mike

I need to replace the rear inside door handle on my Licoln Zephyr (2006). Do I need to take off the door panel?

Typical on most GM cars, the door panel will need to come off in order to replace the door handle. Sometimes you can simply remove the panel around the door knob to replace. However as stated above, on most GM models, you'll usually have to remove the whole panel to get at it.

You'll usually need a torq screwdriver, and a straight blade screwdriver, hammer (to reinstall the door panel) and in some cases a Phillips. Remove the door panel with care, because of the many wires and electrical connections inside, and to avoid breaking the plastic pivots that hold the panel snug against the door .

Replace inside door handle

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can replace your door handle and reconnect it to the linkage and then reinstall the panel
