Piston will not go back in with a C clamp. They make a reset tool but a pair of pliers will work just fine. Place the pliers in the two v shaped slots and turn clockwise. This will turn the piston back in.

No, you need to get a disc brake tool from your local auto parts store, it will allow you to screww the piston back into the caliper.

You will have to use a c-clamp or brake piston compressing tool to get that piston back in, while you have the brake master cylinder fluid reservoir cap off.

Rear rotor replacement for a 1985 mercadies benz 500 sel

YOU NEED TO SAFELY RAISE SUPPORT REAR OF VECHICLE ON JACKSTANDS. MAKE SURE VECHICLE PARKED ON SOLID LEVEL GROUND. YOU NEED TO SIPHON JUST A LITTLE BRAKE FLUID OUT OF THE MASTERCYLINDER.BECAUSE YOU NEED TO USE LARGE C - CLAMP TO COMPRESS FORCE PISTONS BACK IN THE CALIPER BORES USING LARGE C - CLAMP DOING THIS WILL ALLOW YOU ENOUGH ROOM INSTALL NEW REAR BRAKE PADS.TO REMOVE REAR PADS ONCE YOU COMPRESS PISTON BACK IN THE CYLINDER BORE. YOU CAN TO REMOVE REAR BRAKE PADS BY REMOVING RETAINING PINS IF EQUIPPED OR BRAKE PADS HELD IN PLACE BY RETAINING BOLTS.ONCE YOU HAVE NEW REAR BRAKE PADS INSTALLED.PLACE MASTERCYLINDER COVER BACK ON TOP OF MASTERCYLINDER THEN PUMP BRAKE PEDAL TO SEAT NEW REAR BRAKE PADS AGAINST THE ROTOR UNTIL BRAKE PEDAL FEEL FIRM AND SOLID.THEN RECHECK BRAKE FLUID LEVEL IN BRAKE MASTERCYLINDER ADD LITTLE MORE FLUID IF NEED DONT OVER FILL MASTERCYLINDER.

2007 saturn aura- when i press down on parking brake pedal, it easily goes to the floor. i looked under there and the cable doesnt move. how do i tighten this up, or did the cable come out of some sort of...

The parking brake cable has probably snapped. Look under the vehicle and see if the cables are loose, at the calipers. If so, you will need a new brake cable. Hope this helps...

How to replace rear pads on 2002 saturn

You will need to unbolt the caliper, usally 2 bolts, take the caliper off the rotor, remove the pads. You will need a larger c-clamp or a caliper piston tool to compress the piston, if there are two indentations in the face of the cylinder piston, you will need a brake tool to turn the piston, clockwise a few times press in the piston and repeat until the piston is completely back into the caliper. Install the new pads and put the caliper back on. Make sure you pump up your brake peddle a few times after the job, before you take off.

How do you retract the caliper to change the brake

Dioes the calipper have any indentiontions? some calippers screw back into place where as some have to be squeezed back into place, also you have to remove the cap from the brake fluid bottle!!! while you are pushing the cylinder back into the calipper.

If its not going back at all then get some wd40 and spray all around the seal trying to get as much wd40 down the fine gap into the sleeve of the cylinder calipper lining. keep doing this and leave it over night use the whole can if you have to. if still no joy then the caliper is siezed and will need to be replaced. bear in mind some do screw counter and anti clockwise. I am not familiar with this model though.

Saturn Aura 2007 Rear Brakes

The trick is to remove the cap on the brake fluid reservoir on the firewall under the hood before squeezing the caliper. Be sure to replace the cap before attempting to press the brake pedal.

To change the low beam, remove the front wheel and plastic inner fender liner. This will give you access to the rear of the headlight and it's plug and play from there.

How do I retract the rear brake caliper piston

usually with a special tool you can borrow at autozone. because the rear brakes are usually the parking brake. you have to screw them back in. if there is a cross pattern or some type of groove in the piston will confirm this.

It's not the one with the wire. The drain plug is located on the rear side of the oil pan at the center bottom.

Dented right rear bumper

If it isn't hurt too bad, put a heat light or heat gun to it for a few minutes, it might pop back out or if you can get up behind the damage, work it out with your hand while it is warm, wear gloves in case you get it too warm. About $650.00 painted and installed.
