Fix turn signal that stays on

there is a cancelation spring either metal or plastic that breaks and will cause this problem. also if the steering wheel is not centred it could be off enough that the signal will not be canceled by the spring as it won`t be pushed to the off position with the spring. it could also be a bad signal switch under the steering wheel.

Only Rt turn signal works no matter if switch is in Lt or Rt position

The multi-function switch could be defective. The L/R position signals go to the instrument cluster then they are bussed on computer data lines to the front control module to develop the outputs that light the turn lamps. The defect could be in the instrument cluster, the front control module, or even the PCM

I have a 2004 Dodge Grand Caravan. The turn signal does not work, or it will flash a rt hand turn for a left hand turn or vice versa

Quite simply you need a new turn signal switch. There is a large amount of cross networking going on in that little switch. It has to cancell a brakelight to flash a turn signal. Generally you are applying the brake while you turn. There is absolutely no way to bypass or jump the switch, you'll drive yourself crazy trying to do so. Believe me I tried it back in the early 70's. Best of to get a new switch around $30 and have it installed.

Problem solved, Since 3 of the 4 turn signals worked I did not fuse was a problem
but after checking the turn swithch, I pulleded out the fuse which looked ok, but when
I put it back in all the turn signal lights woked! Apparently just one part of the surface
of the fuse was corroded.
