Question about 1988 GMC C1500
1988 C1500 with the 5.0L. When I get it running usually takes about 5 times, it's idling rough and on the verge of dying. If I touch the gas pedal it dies. Fuel pump is good as well as the filter.
Unfortunately, the ECM isn't "OK"...Get a read on the computer and go from there...if I had to guess I'd say ALL the O2 sensors are fouled...especially if you use gas additives or starting fluid.
P.S. did she ever backfire on you?
