There is a recall / service bulletin for this. The evaporator canister, due to a faulty valve, causes the canister to take in fuel-especially when fueling with the engine running. This is similar to the engine flooding.
Look online for details.

I own a 2007 Chev Cavalier and have trouble with the car starting after it is filled with gas everytime since July of this year. The car will not turn over the first time ever after a fill and most times...

had this problem a couple of times and it has driven it crazy to be honest ,one vehicle i cured by leaving the fuel cap off but this was a fault with the vapour re cycling ,now try filling next time with the vapour cover away from the tank if you can on american fuel pumps ,now if that doesnt work then it may be extreme but i found that one vehicle a opel astra which is our equvilent i had to change the speedo /dash head as its its full of fancy electronics at the back with lots of microprocessors and when the gauge went up it caused a problem somehow with the ECU i have no idea how or why so please dont ask ,now ask me about a 1960 car or truck but this new electronc stuff ,but i dont know why or what made me do it but i got one out of the scrapyard from a accident damaged vehicle and the car seemed the same but when i went and filled with petrol it started straight away ,I still dont know what i done though or why or even what made me do it in the first place just gut instinct

I ran my car out of gas and put gas in it now it wont start

How much gas did you put in it? It is very possible that when you ran it out, that your fuel filter became clogged with the sediment from the bottom of the tank. Make sure there is atleast 5gal. of fuel in the tank. Turn the the ignition all the way forward and wait 3 seconds, but dont turn the engine over. Do this 5 or 6 times to get the fuel pump priming. Then try starting the car without pumping the gas pedal. If the car still wont start, check that the fuel system has pressure. Maybe something failed in the fuel pump when it went dry. You can have someone listen near or at the fuel tank to see if they can hear the fuel pump kicking on and off while someone turns the key on and off. Hope this helps.

1995 jimmy dont start

HA! I can't hear the actual sound but you did pretty good! So the engine isn't turning over at all?
If so, what I would do, is disconnect the battery and clean the battery terminals and cables. You may just have a weak battery connection. Hope it's a quick fix...
Good luck!
