Check for air leaks with a water spray from an old spray bottle. Run the engine and spray around gasket seams and Vacuum lines.

Lean code means too much air, not too little fuel. Engine is dumping fuel to get correct fuel ratio.

SOURCE: car runs rough at idle

clean out ur throttle body, just follow the hose from the air filter to the throttle body. Need 2 people to do this. Don't remove the hose completely from the throttle body. Just enuff to be able to spray ur intake cleaner into the throttle body. Do this especially if its worse when the motor is hot, as this would confirm the problem.

SOURCE: 2000 V6 Lincoln LS

Problem solved. Recently we put newer tires on the rear which are a lower profile than the front. Don't ask. The point is, aside from the typical oil leaking into the plugs problem, the problem was caused by the rear wheels spinning faster than the front once at the higher speed. Traction control turns off the fuel injection. All is fine now that the front and rear are switched.

Hyundai accent stalls

The O2 sensor code could be the answer. If the sensor is faulty it could be causing the fuel mixture to be too lean.

I have a ford v6 3.0 dohc i changed plugs and wires fuel filter and fuel line pressure sensor had five codes come up the car starts properly took for a test drive and ran well but shut off when i stop

Code 191 is fuel pressure range-performance.
Code 172 and 175 are O2 sensors reading rich.
Codes 1132 and 1152 are O2 sensors not switching.
Under normal conditions, the fuel pressure should be around 40psi.
The pressure sensor is reading the pressure is too low or too high.
The O2 sensors should be switching back and forth between lean and rich. They are both staying rich.
Based on that info, I would reason the fuel pressure regulator has failed, or the return line to the tank is plugged.
The engine is getting too much fuel and the computer can't control it.

Help on finding out wind star coads PP0171-/-P074-/-P0401

first PO171 o2 bank 1 s1 lean PO174 o2 bank2 lean
PO401 cyl 1 misfire
when an engine misfires the oxygen sensor will read the oxygen from that cyl sensor doesnt read fuel so every misfire is a air pump to diagnose we have to fix misfire first check the coil wires and plugs for cyl 1 use spray bottle with water run engine hot at idle spray wires with water if enging runs rough shakes or stalls then replace the wires dont spray with to much water if the wires are real bad you may not be able to restart engine

try this first once fix misfire clear codes and drive it

plz comment vote reply if you need more help

My 2001 toyota corolla stalls out when cold

It is registering engine too lean due to either too much air entering the engine via an intake leak or by an inaccurate reading from the MAF.

Often on these cars, particularly if they have used Toyota brand air filters, the MAF collects fuzz over time from the air filter.
As this 'fuzz' collects on the MAF element, it acts as an insulator and skews the airflow reading for the ecm; it sees less air than is actually going through, so when it checks your mixture on the way out of the engine it realizes that there is more air than it thought was going in.

Pull your MAF out of the air hose (two philips screws) and clean it with non-chlorinated brake cleaner or "MAF cleaner" available at your local parts store. Look in there with a flashlight, you will see a little coiled wire covered in little bits of fuzz before you start.

Do NOT touch the element, just use the cleaner to blast it clean. Let it air dry completely before reinstalling.

Clear the code and call it a day!

2000 Monte Carlo SS- Stalls after running 5-15 minutes

Check the plug on the MAF.Wiggle it while its running......see if it stalls or jerks.
Or.......replace the MAF if the plug/wire connections are good to it.
The other 2 codes will not stall the engine.

Remember.....all cars run on used parts.
A good used MAF can be had a lot cheaper than new.
