SOURCE: 2001 mazda protege will not start

well, with all that you have changed the only two possible things that are left PCM and the ECM....

Do you have an alarm system on this vehicle? If you purchased this car second hand it may have something that is inhibiting the engine from firing. From what you have told us here that would be where I would start looking.

I really hope this is helpfull

SOURCE: 1994 mazda protege 1.8 l auto trans won't start

It could be a faulty Engine Coolant Temperature sensor. It sounds like when it is cold, your computer is interpreting your signal from the ECT (or lack therof) as being at a certain temperature and not providing the right amount of fuel in order to start the engine when it is cold. Does the check engine light blink or flash at all?

You have to align the timing marks on the timing gears. You should go to a parts store and purchase a haynes repair manual they cost about fifteen dollars and are very helpfull.

Is a mazda protege es 2000 1.6l pump gaz changed, spark plug is new , coil is ok, the mark for timing is ok (2cam)but not sure for crank mark i know is the pin on the crank supposely up ,the motor turn but...

If I understanding right, you set the timing on your mazda. you may have set timing on the exhaust stroke. Rotate the crankshaft again with the belts off and realign the timing marks. You need the number 1 cylinder top dead center on the compression stroke not the exhaust stroke. Also take off distributor cap and make sure rotor is pointing toward number 1 cylinder spark plug wire when at top dead center. Hope this is what you were asking.

No spark no injector pulse on 1990 camry v6

That "running and just shut off" sounds like the timing belt may have snapped. No crunching sounds happen with that engine, it just dies. Since the camshafts aren't turning, the distributor is not either (that's where the crank position sensor is), hence the ECM thinks there are no revs and you get no spark or fuel anytime.

My 1995 Mazda Protege 1.5L was running fine. We were driving home and the car cutoff, will turnover but will not crank. I can take the oil cap off and see one of the CAM's turning and turning freely

if you can see the cam shaft turning then the timing belt is ok
run the fault codes and check for crank position or cam shaft position sensor failures
one or the other or both are candidates for your problem

the first thing is to scan computer for codes, and also pay attention to the anti theft system, if the key chip is bad car will not start, then check coil,

Car wont crank taking the spark plugs out and are covered in gasoline

Obviously you are not getting any spark through the wires to the spark plug. The fuel is still being fed into the cylinder and that's why your spark plugs are fouling with excess fuel.

There are so many areas to check for no spark.
Verify that you have +12v at the coil (+)
terminal? If not, look into the wiring, fuses, ignition switch etc.

And also check the voltage at the coil (-) terminal while cranking. It would normally be about half the battery2.gif voltage. A reading of +12v indicates that
the module's not firing, whether because it's bad or not getting the right inputs.

The cam position sensor, which is built into the distributor can be an issue, or the distributor itself.

You may want to have a repair shop begin the methodical process of eliminating each of the components.

Mazda mx3 wont start

VSS or vehicle speed sensor aka cam sensor or crank position sensor. Test the battery and alternator. You should also check for blown fuses, bad wires and grounds on a car as old as yours. If you find it's getting spark and fuel after further testing, check the timing belt. It could have slipped or broke even if it was changed recently so either pull off the cover or at least do a compression test.
