Question about 2007 Volvo S40 2.4i Sedan
Alternator belt broke, then car stalled. replaced the alternator belt and AC belt while it was off (didn't look bad) cam belt looks ok, fuses in fuse box are good. car will not start and there is a smell of fuel (flooding maybe)
Alternator belt braking would not stall the engine but your dash would of lit up like a christmas tree. you will need to have the engine on an obd reader to see what the problem is. did the belt snap or was it stripped ? alternator over load would cut the engine out check the fuse in the engine fuse box there is 2, 80 amp fuse in there check these are fine.
