Question about 2002 Volkswagen Jetta TDI
I have a Jeta 2002 4 door 2.0. the driver and passenger and doors on open have no buzzers nor light at the side of the door nor an indicator on the dashboard. back doors work fine and show on the dashboard. i have cleaned the latch using WD40 with no success. I also looked at the suggestions posted with nothing indicating why the front 2 doors have the same symptoms i am thinking that the fact that passenger and driver doors have the same symptoms, it must be a fuse. any advise?

Hello there. If you are having those problems i am led to believe that the sensor switch of the driver door is faulty or has come loose. With the door open look for a little button. this button is usually sticking out of the frame on the car. Some vehicles have this button on the door as well. If you dont see a button that means that the switch is in the door lock mechanism. Some VW's have the switch in the lock mechanism, which makes it a pain to replace. Below are pictures of the two different types, Button and lock style.
