1999 vw beetle will not start. Engine tries to start but the moment it fire up, it dies. Doesnt seem to be getting enough fuel, but fuel pump is delivering. Seems injectors are not working. Wha

It is called pulse. Lack of pulse to the injectors is a wiring problem or a Powertrain control module problem. You should have 12 volts to one side of each injector with key turned to run, do you?

I got a 1999 vw beetle 2.0L the engine cranks for awhile before engine starts dosent happen all the time

This can be from a fuel pump that doesnt pressure up sufficiently to a crank sensor peak voltage not seen by the ECM, to just a need for maintance like a tune up which includes a fuel filter

How too change the water pump?

i know for sure that you need to remove the timing belt, which is not fun on this vehicle. While you are there you may want to replace the timing belt, water pump, cam and crank seals timing belt tensioner and idler.

There is a yellow triangel with a circle around it... the car wont stay cranked unless you hit the gas

This is an anti-slip regulator control cutting in telling you have wheel slippage, and its in the process of stopping the wheel from spinning.

What would cause the 03 beetle to start fine and then die immediately? There is gas in the car, and the car was driven into the garage the night before without any problems. Help!

The bproblem ussually is there isnt enough fuel pressure try fuel filter first then if that does not cure it you will have to get new fuel pump.

2001 beetle stalled and won't start

Check TDC (Top Dead Centre) sensor - ie. crank sensor. Possibly faulty and needs replacement. Could also be a worn out timing belt.

Car turns over but wont start. battery is strong. its an intermittent problem thats gotten worse ( leaving me stranded). im thinking crank position sensor or fuel pump

It could be the cold air temperature sensor more or less works like a choke also it could be the fuel pump or fuel filter Is clogged also could be corroded or cracked vacuum Lines causing it to **** air you will need to determine if gas is getting the fuel bar

1999 vw beetle

my beetle is fairly stubburn....for example: i tried cranking it with the alam going off and after five times the alarm cut itself off, then i started it and drove off. but that clearly is no valet over-ride because the second and third time didnt work. second time i unlocked the hatchh back and the assenger door and started the engine and it worked. third time....well...still trying.!!
