IF the suzy engine has variable valve control V VT or mivec or what ever it is for a suzy It will be a toss up but for my money I would pick the mitsi engine as they have been developed for off road racing

SOURCE: My Suzuki Liana 2007 (1.3L with M13A engine) jerks at low speed.

I cant say I have ever even seen one of these, but lets start with this; Most vehicles can tolerate quite a lot of moisture (driving in heavy rain) but when it is 'flooded' with water, even garden hose pressure, that water is going to get into places it shouldn't. Your mechanic may may be going down the right path but try this first; remove spark plugs and replace if they have 50k or more miles or any are dark brown to black on the porcelain around center electrode. When you gain access to them and after turning them out about 1.5 turns, blow out water and/or dirt from around them with compressed air, this keeps it from entering plug hole. While you are using air, blow out spark plug wires/boots on both ends. As I first said, I am not familiar with this engine at all so I am not sure if you have a single coil or multiple coils. Blow out any water in any connections to these if possible. Replace boots/plug wires if they show any sign of arcing/excess wear (cracks, tears, brittle, torn) or more than 50k miles. When reassembling use a good quality dielectic silicone grease To help 'weatherproof' them.Make sure you did not damage or dislodge any other hoses/tubing/ect.. when cleaning.Hopethis helps! Please rate me. Thanks!

Try these easy things...take off clean and reconnect the battery cables, take to Auto Zone for a FREE computer hook up. More than likely if the battery hook up doesn't work it's the oxygen sensor.

SOURCE: valve timing check

Chain drive. Unless the engine's been apart, why would the cam/valve timing change?
Valve clearances are another matter, and unless you want to remove the camshafts, get a mechanic who has the proper Suzuki tool to do them for you. You can measure the clearances, but the shims are between the cam lobe and the valve bucket, and the special tool holds the bucket down whilst changing to a thicker or thinner shim.

dude your electronic ignition system has gone bust... you will have to replace the engine mapping chip, but good luck finding it... I tried to no avail.

Tell me if you get it though.. Goodluck :)

what the real problem
faulty diagnostic fault scanner tool
or no engine bay fault codes?

you could toss lots of new parts and not fix the faults
tow to a workshop or DIY fixes are possible if you can know the
specific fault codes
po500 seems to fit
https://www.obd-codes.com/p0500

a few things going wrong for that astra
fixable
speed sensor
wheel sensors faulty /abs module

if auto it will have strange gear changes and brakes unreliable

What is the common electrical problem that prevents starting?

many , common?
well there are on common failures but bad batteries, and lugs corroded bad. (clean em?)
does engine fail to crank or
does it crank robustly but fails to start.>>>>/??? we can not guess this.
failure are factor of, age, miles. salted roads?, and lack of service.
toss a coin.
we just let the voltmeter tell us, the truth and reality dictates cause.
post full symptoms, for 100% better answers.
really.

if it crank ok, then check spark at all cylinders
but get tune up first. if sparkplug look like black death , they are.'

the flashing orange light is the glowplug light that telling you there is a engine managment problem. you need to get the fault code out of the engine control module with a obd code reader to determine the cause but the common cause of the flashing glow plug warning is a air leak after the turbo charger

Timing chain or belt in a 2004 suzuki swift 1.3L

Diesel or GASoline, they offered 2 engines 1.3L
google answers that.
one way to find this (besides a goggle search (worked for me 100x)
besides a real FSM or alldata.com look in 1min. flat. is.....
is to learn which of the 56 Suz engines you have.
the WIKI says, its a M13A
armed with that key fact, you can find out anything on that engine.
one way is to read the GATES belt page, see if they sell a belt.
looks like chain

1992 gmc suburban has no power and bogs in cold weather

You need to perform an OBDII diagnostic test and look at the stored faults. Sounds like a temp sensor or Mass Airflow Sensor. Also dirty air filter needs to be changed every 40,000 miles. be sure to delete stored faults and recheck OBDII periodically for new faults.
