I have a 2001 ford expedition. the a/c compressor cuts off and back on about every 30 seconds or so. When its on the air gets cold when it cuts back off the air starts warming up. Is this an indication that the freon is getting low?

I have a 2001 ford expdtion and the air only blows out the defrost

It's most likely a vacuum line, look under your hood (close to the cowl panel) for a disconnected, cracked or broken vacuum line.

In some rear cases, it could be the vacuum switch (in dash). Or vacuum diaphragm (under dash).

Hope this helps you ???

There's a strong smell of antifreeze inside the 2001 Ford Expedition, there aren't any leaks. What could be the problem?

Hi, a small leak in the heater core could either be draining through the evaporator drain port or perhaps just evaporating into the air flow. Does the windshield fog when you set it on defrost?

I have a 2006 Ford Expedition. The Air

you have a vacuum loss to the ac control head, the motors that divert air are vacuum operated, if you loose vacuum the system goes to defrost for safety reasons, the vacuum comes from the engine, then goes o a plastic vacuum tank under the hook start there, it is a 3/16 id hose.

your controls have problems. the heat is there it is just not getting out because your control lines are not setting the vent controls into the proper positions. i had a chev van that lost some of the foam in side there and it blocked the whole front off. i had to rip it all apart to get at it
