Front left turn signal

We drive a 1993 honda civic EX. The front left blinker is only working sometimes. We already replaced the bulb, what could be the problem?

If new bulbs don't work, it is probably the harness that holds the bulb. I had to replace both on my car after fighting with the problem for over a year and not knowing.

The left blinker on my 05 Honda stops blinking when brake is pressed. When right blinker is on, the flashers come on. HELP????

This is a common problem check the ground on that tail lamp assembly as you step on the brake the power sent to the bulb can not find ground and is returning thru the turn signal bulb so 2 positive sources keep the bulb out.

My left front blinker flashes quickly. - The left

Check for power at the socket. If there is no power I would suspect the flasher relay wich supplies power to each bulb individually after it gets the right or left signal from the switch.

Replace front turn signal bulbs

odd speed blinker is a message to tell you that a light bulb has burned or is disconnected. All front lights can be replaced from the engine compartment EXCEPT the turn signal :( .Unfortunately you will have to pull the headlight assembly out in order to reach the turn signal bulb. If the light was off since the assembly was replaced, there is a chance that the socket was simply left unplugged.

97 honda civic ex inconsistent turn signal

Check the connections of the bulb sockets and the contacts on the bulbs themselves. Sometimes a small amount of corrosion or oxidation can increase the resistance in the circuit enough to cause the flasher to cycle erratically. When the fast flashing occurs, check both your front and rear bulbs. Is one dimmer than the other? If so, start by checking that one first.

While unlikely...does your Honda have any sort of towing capability? If so, corrosion or a short in your trailer light connection can also wreak havoc on a flasher. If your car has a tow hitch, you may want to remove the trailer wiring adapter from the car's factory wiring and see if the problem disappears. If so, either remove or replace the defective controller.

Blinkers wont click off automatically?!

Probably not a switch problem.
Most turn signals are reset via a mechanism actuated by a finger attached to the hub of the steering wheel and acting on a switch actuator that is set when you choose left or right blinker.
The entire assembly is probably plastic and some are quite fragile.
Unfortunately, removing the steering wheel to replace or shim anything requires the removal of the hub-mounted air bag and this is something better left to a Honda service tech instead of risking the $6-700 air bag and a black eye or two.

On a vehicle with working turn signals but the motor & radio off, try setting the signal with the wheel centered, then turning it in the direction signaled.
You will hear one or more clicks when the resetting mechanism is engaged.
You will not hear that on your car.
