Scott it sounds like you might have a small leak. most a/c units will not engage the compressor clutch if there is no refrigerant. I would goto autozone and use a leak detention kit before I would do anything. Normally when you fill it up then you will hear the clutch engage... let us know

if the clutch is working then the fuse will most likely be ok as well
when ac units stop working , it can be put down to a gas problem or lack of gas from a leak in the system
have an accredited ac specialist shop check the system for leaks and proper diagnosis.

Replaced compressor last summer on my daughters car, was very cold last summer but this year blows hot checked freon levels, but were fine any answers would be appreciated.

If the ac compressor is running and the line is cold, it could be a blend door under the dash that is not cutting off air flow thru the heater.

Ford f25 1991 the heater belt starts smoking when turn on. We do not use the air conditioner

I would take off the belt and check each pulley for free movement when the car is off. For example, if there is an air pump, it should turn freely. Or, if the alternator pulley is disconnected from the belt, it should turn relatively freely.

Air conditioner wont turn on

It might be the fuse for the AC compressor. Check to make sure the blower motor/fan is working by putting it on heat, or vent and adjusting the level from low to high (not temperature). Fan speed. Hope this gets you started.

1998 ford explorer a/c and heater wont work

You lost the Freon again, because you probably only fill up Freon last winter, you didn’t check the leak and fix it,

You have to check the AC belt, compressor, AC clutch, condenser ( see the small glass window to find out if there is some bubbling, if your Ac has bubbling, you need fill up Freon.
