Can i run Lincoln 4.6 aviator without thermastat ?

You can run any car without the thermostat.. but the car is suppose to run with certain water temp. This is what the thermostat controlls. If you take it out check it by boiling water on your stove and If it does not open that is your problem.see if it open at 200* or less. use meat thermometer. If you take it out and the car still runs hot the problem is somewhere else. Like the electric fans are not running, The Water pump is going bad. loose fan belt not turning the pump, Something trash blocking air from radiator.. check all of these things. the car is running hotter something else is wrong. If you live in a really hot place you can buy a lower temp theromstat.. they come from 175*-210*. you really should run one.

On my 06 magnum r/t 5.7 hemi

its either low on antifreeze in the radiator which is not getting to the heater core OR the heater core is stopped up and needs to be flushed out.

Cant find heater control door location

Is the car running at normal temp on the guage? If not the problem is normally an theromstat stuck open = replace. If heater core lines are hot the air blend door is normally on top of the pleum underneath the glove box or close by. I really need to know what type of vechile we are discussing.

No heat in 2002 jaguar stype. replaced theromstat earlier in the summer. also cooling fan continues to run 3-5 minutes after car is turned off.

the cooling fan running for a short time after turning off is far as the NO HEAT is concerned have the topmost hot hose clip undone and vent any airlock you may have.(pref a hose that is attached to the heater inside the engine bay).

2000 cheroke sport 4.0L runs hot replaced theromstat and run pump but after 10 minute or so still over heats from engine as if coolant wasnt circulating properly

this may because of the radiator chock. please service the radiator and this problem may be reduced.

1994 Century Buick Heating problem

did you make sure you got it full of coolent? i am saying this because if you don't it will create an air pocket in the system and it will not throw any heat until you get the air out. on some models there are relief valves either on the thermostate housing or buy the water pump to do this. all that needs to be done is to start car and let it run a few minutes to get warm and open the valve and let the air excape whenyou see a steady flow of coolent close valve and you should have it.
