Have to look at data on a scan tool

When would you be all the way to the floor at full throttle & why?

No vehicle will last long doing that !

I just bought a 2014 Nissan Frontier & looked at data today,
to collect info on it when it is new & figured I never get past 25% throttle in normal driving.

I would look at MAF & TPS Sensor info

I have yet to figure out Nissan's Strategy's

I have spent the last 10 years on some troubled
Lincoln & Fords no one likes to learn or work on

Since 2004 have you done ANY Preventative Maintenance
what so ever & actually know for a fact what has been done
& when? Do you keep a log book.?

Testimonial: "I just bought car about a month ago and not at full throttle long but if u go to pass someone on two lane rd I am not accelerating slow I want passed quick. So to answer your comment about at full throttle car won't last long u r correct but to accelerate quickly not slowly is two different things either way if u put throttle down correct me if wrong vehicle should accelerate not hold at 5000 rpm and not shift and then if you accelerate slowly u don't have a problem"

Again you can't expect someone to know the answer The vehicle has to be checked for codes, road tested & component tested.

SOURCE: 318ti M44 acceleration problem

Have someone handy to press the gas pedal for you after the engine has warmed up well; best if driven.

While you listen at the exhaust pipe, have your helper increase the revs slowly and note whether the exhaust note changes to a hiss, instead of the sound of an engine firing.

You may have a decayed catalytic convertor and when they come apart inside, they can clog mufflers and resonators (the second, smaller muffler).

I've had this happen on more than one car and when it happened on a Fiat Strada years ago, since the routing of the system was fairly straight and made of heavier gauge stainless steel, I fired two shots with a .357 magnum into the tailpipe.
Never had another problem with it.

SOURCE: 2004 impala coolant level

My 2004 3.4 liter impala had this problem.I found out the Rad. overflow tank was leaking Rad fluid out of the overflow nozel on the tank.I pluged the overflow nozel and added a hole in the tank cap.filled the tank to the proper level and bleed the air out of the Rad.(plug on rigid tube of engine, pull plug til fluid comes to top while running)never had another problem over heating again.

Look for a loose connection to the temperature sender unit on the motor.
If all connections OK, you may need a new temp sender unit.

SOURCE: 2004 Nissan Maxima temp gauge fluctuation

well the temperature control gage is connected to the engine block and consists of 1 wire for the reading of the motor heat either the sensor is going bad or you need to check your coolant levels in the radiator make sure the engine is cool before opening the thermostat cap to the radiator so not to get burnt ...also make sure the wire itself is not grounding out on the engine block to give the gage to give such a readout look to the engine and usually on the drivers side lower the plug wires you should see a plug with a wire coming from it ensure the wire is not rubbing on anything .

SOURCE: full throttle all the time

We actually have a TSB for the drive by wire systems that calls for both a TPS sensor/actuator replacement but it's required that you also do a PCM reflash at the same time. If you put in the new updated part without doing your reflash then you've found your problem.

Take it to the dealer and get the reflash done.

Car slow going up hills

check the connection between the accelerator pedal and the pump as there are two different operations at work . The accelerator cable linkage may be loose and not giving full throttle where as the cruise control is getting full throttle.

Check the throttle positon sensor on the throttle body. You can do that with a meter. Your idle air control turns off when the truck heats up and is the reason you are noticing it more after it is warmed up.

A full gas tank only last less than 400 miles on highway on my armada

Most cars are designed to travel 300 miles on a tank of gas. If you think your fuel consumption is too high, may be time for an air filter, tune up, and check the tires for the proper inflation.

2004 ford focus ac blows warm when briskly accelerating. not full throttle. moderate acceleration no problem. temp change to warm is fast, 2 seconds, but back to cold, after letting off the gas, takes...

this is by design. under load, the computer will deactivate the air conditioning in order to take the load of the compressor off of the engine, thereby getting more power for required acceleration. the a c light will remain illuminated etc, and after you finish accelerating the air conditioning will resume normal operation.

When accelerating the car very fast it hesitates and then jumps forward hard and then shift to the next gear. Could this be the computer.

Its not going to be smooth accelerating under full throttle. but one thing to try is disconnect the battery for ten minutes, that resets the ecms memory. but then the car will lose the zero point calibration and youll have to take it to the dealer to have it reset, which doesnt cost anything but still you would have to go. or you could just go to the dealer and have them reset your ecm for you. they wont charge you for that either.

Ac blows warm air onb acceleration

Sounds like throttle A/C cutoff. Check at what point A/C stops. Full throttle, 3/4, half, etc,... You can disable the throttle A/C cutoff. This is designed for increased performance. Check manual for your cars setup.
