My 2009 Chevrolet Malibu acted like it was having transmission problems. I took it to a transmission place and they said nothing was wrong with my transmission. It shifts back and fourth from 5 to 6 and runs no lower than 2100 rpms in 5 and 6. 1-4 shift fine and the rpms are normal also. What could it be?
CK codes c0131 ABS/TCS system pressure circuit malfunction. Their is a Technical Service Bulletin out for this that is being addressed by chevy so you may want to get in touch with them.
SOURCE: 2003 BUICK REGAL TRANSMISSION PROBLEM.

the trans computer has seen a problem possible a bad sensor, or an internal problem, and puts it into a safe mode, or limp home mode , it wont shift , it will stay in 3rd gear, this way this reduces the possibility of further damage trans damage, when you turn the ignition off and back on it resets the tcm, my advice is to take it to your local dealer, they can diag your trans as they know the product, i dont advise pep boys, or discount auto parts.
