Ok i drive a s13 and limp mode is when the computer registers something wrong with the car and theres a fault somewhere so it basically limits primary function until the problem is corrected. I have a bmw that goes into limp mode but i honestly never heard of a 240 having that issue. As far as not reving be a lil more specific and i probably can help you.

What is a limp mode

limp mode is when the ECM reduces power in the engine to prevent damage to the engine and gear box. It allows you to get the car to a position of safety to check items like oil and coolant levels and temperature .Run fault codes to find the cause of the limp mode

How do you get computer out of limp mode

The idea is to replace /repair the reason that the CPU went into limp mode . Once you have run the fault codes and done the repairs the use a code reader to reset the CPU.

Navara d40 has no power wont rev more than 3000 rev thanks

Sounds like your vehicle is in limp mode. Check for faults with a fault code scanner at a local auto parts store. Resetting the fault will fix the limp mode, but not whatever caused your vehicle to initiate limp mode.

When I accelerate hard to pass my check engine light comes on and the vehicle goes into limp home mode.

Get the vehicle looked at by a garage. The reason it goes into limp home mode is to protect the engine from further damage. The reason the check engine light comes on is because the engine needs checking with some urgency.

S TYPE 2001 Wont go beyong 3000 Revs

No, You have a high pressure fuel system. Things are not that simple anymore.
You need to get it checked properly as the fault is in the engine managment system.
The limp mode is the car protecting itself from you and allowing you to get home. Thats it.

It sounds like your transmission is going into the limp mode. The transmission goes into limp mode to protect the transmission from major damage. You either need to take it to the dealer or to a transmission shop to have a diagnostic test done.
