Question about 2003 Buick LeSabre
I hear motor sounds when I use the switch like it wants to work but cannot, is there a belt?
The cables are probably broken on the regulator assembly. You'll probably have to replace the unit.

The window regulator on these vehicles are operated by a shall cable that is powered by an electric motor.
It is common for the cables to snap and disable the operation of the window.
The regulator needs to be replaced as an assembly.
Because this is such a common problem the aftermarket companies are making them and are considerably less expensive that the original manufacturer part.
If you are a handy person you may want to take this job on, if not, get a tech to do it for you.

Try "helping" the window the window to go down by pressing your hand agaist it and pushing it down . If it moves then the motor is not gone. My 02 Century driver window gets slow when it's cold or dirty. Try spraying some ArmorAll into the tracks on the door. This will not only help flush out dirt but lubricate as well
