SOURCE: I have a 2003 BMW X5, how do I reset the service indicator?

Hi,

You can reset your service indicator, as follows:

  1. Get in the car, close the door, buckle the seatbelt.
  2. Push in the clutch pedal and hold it to the floor
  3. Press the left hand dash button (the one that resets your odometer) and hold it down
  4. Put the ignition key in the key slot, and turn it gently (very gently) until the dashboard lights come on - the key will not click - if it clicks you've gone too far and you have to start again. Hold the key in this position. In five seconds or so, the dash will display "SIA" and some other characters. Do not proceed until this happens.
  5. Release the dash button (and only the dashboard button) and then press and hold it again. In another 5 seconds or so the display should begin to flash "RESET?" Do not proceed until this happens.
  6. Release the dash button and push it again to confirm. You won't need to hold it - the display should change immediately and your service indicator will display five green LED's.
Hope this helps. Please remember to rate this answer. Many Thanks.

Were can i get a 2001 bmw x5 car manul othen then the dealership

Dealers have NO Manuals

Manuals come from publishers that are
licence'd by the mfg of the car, to sell them

Owners manual may be on the internet & free
to down load

If you google the question, you will find the Repair,
Service,Diagnostic,Wiring Diagrams,etc in paper
or on CD-but they are costly & you need them

Only get the Manufacture ones, you want your exact
vehicle shown for whatever you looking for

Try BMW site or parts site

What are the step by step instructions for bluetooth pairing 2005 BMW X5? Not 2004 or 2006.

if you go the http://www.bmwusa.com/default.aspx and at the top of the page go to owners then owners manuals. Pick out your year, when that loads pick out your model. when that loads it will go to the page to download the manual but also towards the bottom of the page it has videos that show you in detail how to sync your phone. Very detailed and very helpful. I hope this helps you and good luck.
